I was smart and got the glass part of a welders mask to stare at it. You should go that route next time.

Jungle juice, it is some fruity tasting crap mixed with whatever liquor is lying around. I had somewhere between one and all of it one night. It made the earth all wobbly.

Its been too quiet :(

I am a huge fan. Particularly Sphere in the Heart of Silence, To Record Only Water for Ten Days, The Empyrean and Shadows Collide with People. I like Niandra Lades if I'm in the right mood.
The will to death has some gems too. He's releasing new cds this summer, can't wait to hear them.

Anytime anyone says that they observed anything traveling faster than the speed of light is taking a tremendous leap and setting themselves up for embarrassment. It is ballsy and, if true, will shake physics off it's foundation.

Yuri went into space, he just didn't achieve orbit. Poor Mr Gagarin was much a pawn as any of us.
You're wrong, he did one orbit.

Firstly

Left or right wrist? The correct question is surely - wanking or non wanking hand?
Non wanking
HOORAY  ;D

Secondly
i didn't go to the hospital. officially i refused to go, but i did go to a clinic directly afterwards and they took the xrays and they got a second opnion which conflicted with what the clinic saw. i'm guessing it is one of my carpals that may be fractured? hopefully i find out on tuesday.

Why would you refuse to go to the hospital?

Berny
Been in two car accidents, and 2 collisions at sea.

i didn't go to the hospital because physically i felt fine, my wrist was just sore. it was my mom who talked me into going to a clinic, i thought to myself "might as well see if i can get out of work for a few days." thet xrayed my wrist and they said it looked broken.
this is my car
The fire and smoke looks seriously fake here.

Just saying.
don't tell the insurance company.
You should get paid twice what the car's worth because it was a woman who hit you.
indeed.

Were you injured?
i might have a broken wrist. i go to get more x-rays on tuesday. other than that all is good, no one had life threatening injuries. ;D

Good to hear you are ok. I assume you were taken to the hospital? How are the EMT's if so amd what did they do for you? I'm surprised the hospital couldn't tell you if it was broken or not if you went.

My car does sit pretty low, I haven't heard anything about her damages.

That looks like Phoenix or one of the 50,000 cities in the metro area.
35th Ave. just south of the 101. I think that's Phoenix.

The Lounge / Re: I've been having a reoccurring dream.
« on: March 07, 2011, 05:53:54 PM »
This reminds me of the worst dream I have ever had. Fortunately I only had it the once. I was at Uni so it was more than 10 years ago but I remember it vividly.

I was in bed asleep and awoke with a kind of paralysis. This is sometimes common. Your brain paralyses your body in order to stop you acting out all your dreams. It is possible to wake and have an active mind before regaining use of your body. Its rare but happens. Anyhoo in this state of paralysis I was fully concious and very aware something or someone was touching me. Not in a good way. I was fully conscious wide awake but could not move. I was being violated in my bed. Finally my body woke up I leapt out of bed and ran to turn the light on. Even as a fully grown man being inappropriately touched in bed by someone or something that feels menacing is enough to make you crap yourself and leap out of bed. Anyway I turned on the light and then I woke up. Laying paralysed on my bed being touched. Finally I leapt out of bed and turned on the light. Then I woke up. I was lying in bed paralysed being touched. I leapt up and turned on the light. This time I really was awake. It was too graphic to be a dream, I was checking trying to find anything dream like and unusual but it was reality. Then I woke up and I was being touched. I ran to the light and turned it on. That was the end I really was awake. It was the creepiest fucking dream I have ever had. I didn't sleep for almost 3 days after so worried was I that I would be abused in my sleep again by my sub-concious.

As a side note on recurring dreams, I had one for at least 5 years after I left uni. I kept dreaming I hadn't finished my thesis and it was deadline day. So many times. At the time I didn't think it was bothering me and felt I just got on with it and finished it without much drama. But university had clearly emotionally damaged me. I cannot fathom the stress one must feel for one's brain to keep playing over a scenario repeatedly in order to make sense of it. I should probably start legal proceedings against the University of Liverpool. Their menacing bullyboy tactics caused me much mental anguish and I have suffered many many nights of disrupted sleep at the hands of their academic regime. Anyway dreams ... I prefer the ones where the hot lady gets naked and I am not distracted by someone I haven't seen for years and don't care about, or a dog with a square bum-hole or a vagina full of teeth.
tl;dr

I woke up paralyzed once and unable to breathe. That's some scary shit.

The only reason I can think of that a service man would not want to deploy to combat zone would be because he doesn't want to earn money. Plus, officers would be expected to jump through hoops to go. IMHO, if you don't want to be part of an unpopular war, don't join.
Fair enough. If we're pulling out troops when they say we are, then it shouldn't be a problem because if I do join it won't be for a few years anyway. It's not that I wouldn't go, especially if it meant earning a fair bit of cash, I just don't really see why we're there.
God told Bush to send troops there.
Maybe, the American people were louder I think
