I don't support Biden. But I voted the real reason why people support him. "I want to see Trump's face when he loses." The actual supporters of Biden are the sort of people who like other people to suffer just so thet get their way.
We say the same about Trump voters.
But most people voted biden because he wasn't Trump. And Trump is an asshole. The kind of rich asshole most people agree suck.
But a survey of leftists found that most on the right are happier on average than them. Why? Well, it's like the Grinch Stole Christmas. The town is still singing even though you've taken all you thought could matter to them. Perhaps you need to cure your habit of being a miserable person, instead of trying to inflict suffering on others. Take away their churches, they worship at home. Their friends, they find ways to gather with people. Meanwhile, by trying to make others suffer, you've created suffering for yourself.
It isn't conservative towns that have strict quarantine rules, it's places like Los Angeles. These are the places that wind up living in Covid zombie town, while red districts all over go out and have concerts.
You can't set it up that other people suffer without creating suffering for yourself.
This is an apples to orange comparison.
Most conservative areas are sparcely populated. Covid restrictions do little more than what already exists by living 2 miles from anyone. Los Angelas, however, has a very dense population (as do most cities, which are almost always democratic). As such, health restrictions need to be out in place because 1 person could easily infect thousands.
Meanwhile, in nowhere, oklahoma, your odds of seeing 10 people is low, let alone infecting them.
