Invented in 1731, the sextant is to my mind is a device of deception. Its name reeks of satire and one of my associates stated that it was created as a joke by the organization. I was skeptical of this device upon hearing its vile name, in time I will show why it is a device of deception and dishonor.

Then you are merely mistaken about the nature of the Ice Wall, not about its existence. You mistakenly believe that the Ice Wall is some sort of "Ice tower" or "Ice blob".  When you talk about Antarctica and I talk about the Ice Wall we are talking about the same referent.

Nope, I believe Antarctica is a continent. A continent that is mostly covered in ice. I understand that you believe Antarctica is the ice wall, but don't tell me what I believe.

I believe that Antarctica is a continent, too, and that it's covered in ice. Our primary disagreement is about the topology of this Ice Wall, Antarctica. If I'm wrong in my characterisation of your topological beliefs about Antarctica, feel free to correct me, I am not trying to be rude but to build concensus and understanding.

Flat Earth Debate / Re: Cult of Gravity
« on: January 23, 2013, 10:32:08 PM »
The terminological designation of "cult" is more literal, as far as gravity goes, than first meets the eye.  Newton's obsession with spheres and roundness was religious to the core, drawing heavily on Neoplatonist occult beliefs which proclaimed the sphere to be the perfect shape.  Early globularists took it on faith that the Earth must mirror the formal perfection of the sphere, and Newton was among them.  Asag ("Isaac") Newton was a deeply superstitious occult fanatic, practicing alchemy and no doubt other, far more sinister unspeakable rites which he dredged from the seedy bowels of myth and history. Newton calibrated the anecdote of his gravitational prophecy in imitation of the Biblical fall - the forbidden apple supposedly bringing him arcane "knowledge" of the universe and completing his communion with Satan. Truly a disturbed individual, and by no means a man of true science.

If you believe in Antarctica, then you believe in the Ice Wall.  They are one and the same - the ceaseless icy desert within which humankind is hemmed.

Similar, yes. The same, no. Antarctica actually exists.

Existence is not a predicate.

We have dealt with the so-called findings of the charlatan Eratosthenes at length, it has been the subject of careful study by some of our top minds.  The most decisive analysis of the problem occured in 2010 when myself and my colleague "bullhorn" evaluated the major flaws in the work of Eratosthenes' employees (unless you're foolish enough to believe that he made the 800km journey between Alexandria and Syene himself, in which case there is no hope for you), using a combined historiographical-biochemical heuristic.

These two posts are recommended reading for anyone who thinks they have been seduced by Eratosthenes' galling falsehoods:

Plato's absurd globular theory was also motivated by cult ideology.  As the shape which is most similar to itself, Plato believed that the sphere was a divine form, and sought to promote this laughable premise by deliberately lying to the public and pretending he believed it himself.

Breaking Newton's so called law of universal gravitation is no indictment of a theory.

My inability to transmute lead into gold contraindicates Newton's wild beliefs about alchemy, for example - does that make me any more able to do so?

Isaac Newton was a committed Satanist whose theories are part of a deliberate deception regarding Earth-shape, motivated by his megalomaniacal lust for power and celebrity. Gravity is one of the most outrageous myths ever created.

Plato not only invented the myth of globularism, but he laid down the blueprints for the public deception which was later taken up by the Romans, by Newton and by the Space Agencies.

Plato advocated the governments of the world lying so convincingly about the shape of the Earth, that within a few generations they would believe their own lie. How correct he was.

Quote from: Plato, Republic 415c-415d
SOCRATES: "Do you see any way of getting them to believe this tale?"

GLAUCON: "No, not these themselves. But I do, their sons and successors and the rest of mankind who come after."

Pythagoras' alleged globularism is only attested by unreliable secondary sources - Plato's writings are the first to explicitly preach globularism.

The majority of Presocratics are either silent on the issue or are Flat Earthers - for example Thales, Anaximander, Anaximenes, etc.

Plato is the father of globularism and the progenitor of the Conspiracy.

Flat Earth General / Re: When did the conspiracy start?

The Conspiracy began in Ancient Greece, prior to the birth of Christ, when the spherical fundamentalist Plato mistook the Earth for a sphere because of his ideologically motivated religion (Plato believed the sphere was a divine shape).

This sphericism was the prevailing (wrong) view in the Hellenistic world, but in the Ancient Levant, the heroes of the Bible crusaded against this inaccurate worldview. Jesus preached the flatness of the Earth. He went as far as to demonstrate that water has no convexity, by walking out away from observers on the Sea of Galilee to demonstrate that his feet were still visible several miles away, not obscured by curvature. A modern version of Jesus's experiment was conducted by Rowbotham at Bedford Canal, but the first Bedford Level Experiment (The Galilee Level Experiment) was performed by Jesus.

Jesus' enlightened approach to zetetic science was seen as a threat by the globularist Romans, who conspired to assassinate him in order to prevent an uprising in the serfs of the Levant, who were kept under control by the Round-Earth lies of the Romans.

After Jesus' assassination, Paul disseminated the beliefs of Jesus but inadvertantly focussed on his ethics more than his geography, resulting in a globularist christianity which became highly popular.

A Roman Emperor (Konstantin the Great) converted to Christian Globularism and the Bible was mistakenly taken for a Globularist text. By this time, the gospels had been codified by Alexandrian globularist scholars, who had naturally glossed the scientific elements of Jesus' experiments, presenting them as kooky miracles rather than studies about the shape of the Earth.

The level of scientific rigour held by the Bible heroes would not be matched until the medieval enlightenment occured, with many people realising the truth of geocentrism and zeteticism using the power of investigation.

However, by this time, the Conspiracy held such sway that even many geocentrists held the Earth to be a globe.  Crackpot superstars such as Copernicus further poisoned the minds of the public with their sphere-worshipping drivel.  Still, support for genuine zetetic science continued to grow in Renaissance and Enlightenment Europe.  The Conspiracy needed a new poster-child for its wild and morally corrupt views about the shape of the Earth, and that poster-child eventually came in the form of alchemy-believer and committed satanist Isaac Newton.  In a grotesque parody of the Biblical fall, Newton and his Conspiracy associates promulgated a story in which Newton was struck on the head by a fallen apple and in the subsequent concussion discovered a magical force, Gravity, which tended to forge all celestial objects into spheres.

The invention of Gravity by the Conspiracy represented a resurrection of the largely discredited Platonic Sphericism, in which the sphere is the teleological end point of all matter, including the Earth - however, the doctrine now gained imitative credibility from the rhetoric of Enlightenment science, and was backed up by the rock-star status of Newton.

The lies could only continue for so long in the face of staggering evidence to the contrary.  In the mid-1800s, Doctor Samuel Birley "Parallax" Rowbotham, the iconoclast and visionary, published his damning dismissal of globularist dogma. The Neo-Newtonian satanists of the Victorian age concocted a master plan, the greatest deception in human history - Space Travel, which was to play out over the course of the 20th Century and solidify sphericism against the rational scepticism of free-thinking minds.

The plan was not without interruption. Knowing, as they did, that the Flat, circular habitable Earth was surrounded by vast escarpments of insurmountable ice, the public discovery of which would slice globularism to shreds, the Conspiracy was unable to introduce the myth of Space Travel at the turn of the 20th Century, as previously planned.  Brave zetetic hero Scott of the Antarctic travelled deep into the wastes of the outer circle, and was sure to bring back news of the unacceptable truth - the maddening mountains of the Ice Wall which hold in the oceans of the Earth - and plans for early 20th century faked "zeppelin" flights into space as part of the Great War were shelved in order to pursue the most outrageous assassination the Southern Hemiplane has ever seen.  Scott's team were brutally murdered by Conspiracy agents; their camp was made up to look like they had died in their sleep, and Scott's pivotal diary, which can only have testified to the shocking truth, was fraudulently edited to corroborate the myth of a South Pole.

The establishment of NASA and POCKOCMOC in the middle 20th Century was the logical conclusion of this horrific history. At last, neonewtonianism could mass produce falsified Round Earth evidence with impunity - but for the bold efforts of the International Flat Earth Research Society and its successor, the Flat Earth Society, where even today our best scientific minds continue the crusade against Platonic-Newtonian Conspiracy deceptions.

The song Jerusalem is not about the actual Middle-Eastern town of Jerusalem.

"And did those feet in ancient time?" is a rhetorical question, the answer to which is supposed to be "yes! They did", because Jerusalem is not about Jerusalem, but actually about Blake's hypothesis that Jesus Christ literally, physically travelled to the United Kingdom during his gap year (see:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lost_years_of_Jesus) on a druid internship programme and that this trip is part of what imbues Britain with its magical properties.

Although I believe that Jesus also went backpacking in India during this time (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lost_years_of_Jesus#Jesus_in_India), I also reckon he made it in time to start his work placement at Stonehenge, so I actually agree with Blake and for this reason I too am of the opinion that Jerusalem would be a fantastic national anthem, because it would teach us some propositions about history.

Britain is nice, but the Conspiracy is very extensive here and is waiting around every corner.  If you openly believe the Earth is flat, be prepared to be chased and persecuted by a faceless and omnipresent network of institutions trying to silence the truth by silencing you.  I am sure it's the same in America, but I'm just saying, don't be fooled into thinking that you'll be safe from the insidious octopus of globularist fundamentalism here.

As the ancestral home of zeteticism, the UK does have some cool landmarks - the Old Bedford Canal, the Grave of Rowbotham (in Beckenham, Kent), etc. - I would recommend giving these a visit if you do move here, as the ghost of Rowbotham will no doubt be pleased to receive tomb offerings and observe you staring down the flatness of the canal. The Great Doctor is buried in the same cemetery as the man who invented the toilet. That man has a shiny white grave designed to imitate the look and feel of a toilet surface.

The overbearing Bedford and King's Lynn canal authorities are dedicated globular conspirators, and will probably try and stop you swimming in the canal, no doubt to prevent you from taking accurate measurements from the surface.  If this is your aim, it would be easiest for you to do so at night, far from any human settlement. NOTE: I am NOT advocating illegally swimming in the Bedford Canal. This is a purely theoretical scenario posted for academic purposes only.

These miscellanies are the best advice I can offer you about daily life in the United Kingdom, I hope this has been helpful.

The shape of the Earth is one of the few things which many world religions got right originally - early Islam and Christianity both held that the Earth was flat.  The very notion of Heaven being "above" the Earth demonstrates the correct, zetetic conception of upness, rather than the confused and incoherent globularist conception of upness. Only recently have the religions been corrupted in their ideas about worldshape by globularist propaganda.

16
The UK has a flourishing Flat Earth movement, and has since the 19th Century.  I am British, and many of my friends are Flat Earth believers (I am one). The UK was the birthplace of modern Zetetic Science, with such giants as Samuel Rowbotham, Lady Blount, John Hampden, William Carpenter, D W Scott and Samuel Shenton to our name.

James Randi is a spherical fundamentalist. I suggest that if the above allegations are true that Tom Bishop take legal action against him just as the great John Hampden fought a legal battle against the globularist mystic Alfred Russell Wallace. Hampden was imprisoned for his beliefs, and is a true Zetetic hero.

The Brazilian government has been in the pocket of the USA ever since the Vargas years. It would hardly surprise me at all if agents of the Conspiracy were highly operative in Brazil, which is one of the largest and most powerful nations on Earth.  It would not suprise me if they, too, pretended to put humans into space.

I have eaten literally thousands of animals during my long and industrious existence.  As a significant public figure, I feel it is my duty to substantiate my decision in this regard so that others may learn from my example.

Each time an animal is eaten its physical and spiritual constituents pass into the jurisdiction of the eater to a great degree.  All animals provide me with the calories I need to campaign and write posts, but I believe strongly that each of them brings "something to the table" in their own special way.  From foie gras, we obtain a greater affinity with the water. From rats and mice, we may gain our resourcefulness and modesty.  From the horse our swiftness of foot and so on.  I recommend a diet as diverse in the meats of animals as you can muster, your quality of life will be greatly improved by this endeavour.

Flat Earth Debate / Re: James's theory on dinosaurs
« on: May 07, 2012, 06:56:37 AM »
On the question of whether humans are fish:

Humans and fish share a common ancestor, they are both vertebrates.  If you therefore asked me "can you show me a picture of a vertebrate twiddling its thumbs", a valid response would be to show you a picture of a human twiddling its thumbs.  I could not show you a picture of a fish twiddling its thumbs.

Likewise, swans and deinoncyhus share a common ancestor, they are both dinosaurs.  If you therefore asked me "can you show me a picture of a dinosaur using a boat", a valid response would be to show you a picture of a swan using a boat. You might think I could not show you a picture of a deinoychus using a boat, because they did not document their work with cameras.

But in fact I can show you a picture of a deinoychus using a boat.

Do you see how arguments about birds not being dinosaurs are in fact doubly invalid?

There is no need, as there is no worthwhile original content in this thread - Irushwithcvs' posts about the Moon lack many things which mine have, and have nothing which mine do not, as they are entirely derivative, unattributed and incomplete facsimiles of my own.

24
Your work is uninteresting and not very user friendly. This thread is far superior to yours, but that is irrelevant. I could have made a thread titled "Moon bad!" and it would have garnered more critical acclaim than yours.

If your inarticulate plagiarist burlesque of my work were actually so much better than the original which it clumsily apes, then you would have no need to bump this thread, as interest in it would continue without your interference. Clearly this has not happened.

Flat Earth Q&A / Re: The source of FES's map
« on: May 04, 2012, 07:41:11 PM »
Our cartography is derived from the actual shape and form of the Earth.  Round Earth maps must try as best as possible to match observable data (lest they be revealed as spurious lies and drivel), so it is not surprising there are similarities.

Yet however, Gauss' theorem proves that the surface of a sphere can never be perfectly imputed to two dimensional representations.  Thus, the Round Earther's empirical maps can never quite add up to his spherical model. He must distort either the true size, shape or spacing of the continents to accommodate his faulty sphere. A flat empirical map which does not presuppose that the Earth is a globe is not subject to such constraints and can therefore be 100% accurate.

26
Why did you bump this? Your work on this subject is an inferior rip-off of mine, which is already stickied.

Flat Earth Q&A / Re: The source of FES's map
« on: May 04, 2012, 02:58:49 AM »
These disputes over intellectual ownership are not useful - nobody owns these maps, they are representations of the actual Earth.  One can no more claim dominion over the idea or form of these maps than one can do for the Earth.

28
The use of a correct (i.e. Flat Earth) map by the United Nations is evidence that at least some world governments and transnational institutions are aware that spherical fundamentalism is in fact a vast deception.

29
I recommed the use of Twitter.com to proliferate the dangers associated with the Moon.  I have personally challenged National Geographic's brazen Twitter assertion that the Moon is "Not a Threat to the Earth" - https://twitter.com/#!/Flat_Science/status/198244428136185856

It is vital that the public is duly informed of the dangers posed by recklessly wandering around in open Moonlight, especially when its sinister power is at such a high level as this weekend.
