CR90, one last chance to salvage credibility: Explain your moral objections to non-reproductive incest.

It's still incest and loving you sister (or brother) in a sexual way is gross the fact you think it isn't troubles me about your morals.

*grits teeth* but why is it morally wrong? I think going camping in the woods and not washing properly for a week is disgusting but it's clearly not a moral evil. I think that playing loud music on the bus is irritating  but it isn't a moral evil. Now answer the damn question!

Because it's your blood related family, you moron!!!!!!!!!!!

Incest is wrong because general society says incest is wrong. Society likes people who shares similar, if not the same, views, so if you wish to live in society, you should share similar, if not the same, moral views.

If a man truly loves his sister, and she loves him just as much. How can that be considered wrong? How can it be wrong to love someone, even if the person happens to be a close blood relative?

Stop arguing with CR. You could explain it to him a thousand times and he still won't understand why his argument isn't valid.

This thread is much more entertaining because of the morality discussions than because of the humorous comics.
Here's an explanation for ya. Lurk moar. Every single point you brought up has been posted, reposted, debated and debunked. There is a search function on this forum, and it is very easy to use.

This is like having a discussion with a brick wall.

Ok, this is how I want you to present your argument: Action - moral? - reason

For instancee: Murder - No - You are breaching the other person's right to life, causing distress and anguish for the family and removing his contributions to society.

Rape - No - You are violating  the woman's privacy, causing extreme mental anguish and removing her right tio decline sex as well as possibly physically harming her in the event of STIs and pregnancy

Helping an old lady across the road - yes - You have aided another human being acomplish a task she was previously incapable of doing, you have reduced the risk of injury to her and mental injury for any driver who might've otherwise hit her.

OK? This is not a valid answer:

Incest - No - Because it's a member of your own family.

The bible condones incest in many passages.  Are you suggesting that the bible is immoral?

Ok, this is how I want you to present your argument: Action - moral? - reason

To make it clearer, I think he should present it as "action - definition - moral? - reason", like this (to use your example of murder):

Murder - Killing another person. - No - You are breaching the other person's right to life, causing distress and anguish for the family and removing his contributions to society.

This just makes it bleedingly obvious that:

Incest - Having sex with a member of your own family. - No - Because it's a member of your own family.

Doesn't answer the question.
I'm going to side with the white supremacists.

Genesis 19:29-38

19And Lot went up out of Zoar, and dwelt in the mountain, and his two daughters with him; for he feared to dwell in Zoar: and he dwelt in a cave, he and his two daughters.

31And the firstborn said unto the younger, Our father is old, and there is not a man in the earth to come in unto us after the manner of all the earth:

32Come, let us make our father drink wine, and we will lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father.

33And they made their father drink wine that night: and the firstborn went in, and lay with her father; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose.

34And it came to pass on the morrow, that the firstborn said unto the younger, Behold, I lay yesternight with my father: let us make him drink wine this night also; and go thou in, and lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father.

35And they made their father drink wine that night also: and the younger arose, and lay with him; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose.

36Thus were both the daughters of Lot with child by their father.

37And the first born bare a son, and called his name Moab: the same is the father of the Moabites unto this day.

38And the younger, she also bare a son, and called his name Benammi: the same is the father of the children of Ammon unto this day.

Yeah, I agree with Parsifal

Oh and while we're on the Bible quotes remember that the family of Adam and Eve would have been incestuous as well as the family of noah after the flood.

We actually don't know about Adam and Eve. It never specifically states that Adam and Eve were the first and only humans. It does, however, specifically state that Noah, his sons and their respective wives were the only 8 people left on the planet, or barring that and assuming that they meant that the known world was drowned, the only people left in south-western Asia, south-eastern Europe, and northern Africa. That's still a lot of sister-humping before you get that area re-populated, though.

Adam and Eve may have been the only humans, but then how do you explain the people in the land of nod? I'm doubting their kids all of a sudden forgot about their older brother and would have killed him, so God giving him a mark to protect him makes little sense.
