I'm not sure why you quoted my post when you don't seem to be replying to it. I didn't mention advertisers (I did in a previous post).
I'm also not sure why you are mad that the pharmaceutical company responsible for jacking up the cost of insulin lost some money on the stock market. They will be fine!
I had something, then changed it leaving the quote in place.
Also I have no feelings for Twitter or Elon and whether they succeed or fail. I also don't give a rats for pharma losing money. I'm pointing out it makes sense from their perspective that associating with Twitter is a bit precarious right now. Easy decision for them to walk especially as Twitter is not even a huge slice of any return on advertising investment.
And I got to thinking about Elon making his own phone - that will be easier said then done. Well having the phone made is the easy part. Just grab a bunch of off the shelf bits together. It's the software that will do him in. Unless Microsoft helps him out for a Windows phone, he'll need to design a new one from scratch. No existing apps will likely work on it as they weren't made for it. So every one of the thousands of apps that make the phone attractive would have to come on board for him
Phones live or die based on app support. It's why the Windows phone never got a foothold. So he can make the phone and he can even make his own software - but if apps and companies don't devote resources to making their apps compatible with it (and no reason why they would care for such a minuscule market), it will fail because no one's going to buy a phone with so few app support
