They say one rep lunged at him. The video shows another rep holding him back.

The restraining was much more forceful than any actual lunge so maybe the incident involved threatening language.

The Democrats hold the record for losses in this, FYI. The Republican candidate lost 14 times in a row. But the Democrat candidate lost 15 times in a row. The Democrats were trying to get bi-partisan support on Jefferies as speaker and repeatedly failed.

Democrats are not the party with the majority, therefore they weren't expected to win.  However, I find it rather entertaining (and rather telling) how many times Jefferies was closer to winning than McCarthy, even after McCarthy made so many significant concessions.

Yes, he was close to winning, and actively invited bi-partisan votes. He still lost 15 times in a row though. He could have compromised with Republican agenda and could have potentially won. He didn't.
