Apparently Shapria failed in developing an Israeli vaccine in early 2022, quit the project, and went on to slam the existing vaccines out there.

Shapira saw the project as a chance to improve the facility’s standing as it faced budget cuts, boosting his own prestige in the process. He convinced Benjamin Netanyahu, the prime minister at the time, that his scientists could develop a vaccine quickly.
In fact, in October 2020, Shapira told Kan Bet radio that a safe and effective Israeli vaccine could be ready toward the end of the summer of 2021.

A former senior researcher at the Israel Institute for Biological Research who took part in the BriLife project has called Shapira “delusional.” Another senior doctor who advises the Health Ministry and is familiar with the institute adds: “The man has simply lost his marbles.”

The study source cited is from Dr. Steven Gundry back in November 2021.

Here is the correction to the study:

Correction Issued for Controversial Study Linking COVID-19 Vaccines to ACS Risk
Definitive conclusions cannot be drawn about a possible link between the mRNA vaccines and future ACS risk, according to a correction issued late yesterday on the Circulation journal website, which had last month published an abstract from the virtual American Heart Association (AHA) 2021 Scientific Sessions.

All strong conclusions and alarmist phrasing have now been removed from the corrected abstract, with additional wording acknowledging that no rigorous comparisons have been made between vaccinated and unvaccinated subjects

But yeah, great book. I've got too many books I need to read that I haven't already before I go back to ones I've already read. I just finished 'A Prayer for Owen Meany'. Been meaning to read it for decades. Probably Irving's best. You should check it out.
