The supposed freedom of speech warriors have completed their transition into the thought police.  It was always going to happen eventually.

It’s official now that Vance, after shitting all over Europe’s freedom of speech laws, announced they’re going after anyone not sufficiently respectful about national hero Kirk. 

They had no problem with people inventing conspiracy theories about the victims of other violent attacks, even when the families were then themselves subject to harassment and abuse from extremists.  They had no problem mocking Paul Pelosi after he was brutally attacked with a hammer and nearly killed by a right wing extremist.  Because that’s all freedom of speech, innit?

Now they threaten to dismantle and destroy left wing institutions on the flimsy grounds that the left are violent extremists.

The hypocrisy would be hilarious if it wasn’t such a serious attack on democracy.

Two questions:

1) Is there a point to this meme?

When shooting and killing enemy soldiers in a war, it is not a matter of punishment for wearing uniforms we don't like the look of. It's a matter of identifying the enemy and destroying him.

This is not thought policing. That is yesterday's paradigm. This is a matter of discovering who the enemy are and destroying them.

Because they won't get a job otherwise.  (this is super oversimplified)

So you have two people.  A black guy who didn't do very good in school but still is qualified for the job vs a white guy who did great in school and is very qualified.  Whose the one you're gonna choose?  White guy.  Every.  Single.  Time.  Because he's the better choice.  He probably came from a middle class family who didn't have to struggle.  He probably didn't have to take a part time job to support his family while studying for school.  He probably went to a decent 4 year college instead of a community college.  He probably had alot more advantages and comforts.

This is, of course, classism.  But you can't just hire poor people because personal finances are private and not something you can or should realistically share with companies.  So the idea is "Ok, the poorest group are minorities so lets help some of them get jobs to get them out of the cycle of poverty."

Eh.  I'm always hesitant to pass judgement when they say stuff like this.

Technically speaking, I have child porn on my phone.  But its just my 1 year old son playing in the bath.  But its still a picture of a naked child on my phone.  Which is all you need to define child porn.  They could arrest me for it but it would likely never hold up in court and thus I'd be let go.  My life would be ruined but you know... details.

He allegedly was reluctant to let investigators look at his phone, saying he used the device “to look at child sexual abuse material”, local sheriff’s deputies wrote in a separate report, as the Utah news outlet KSL noted.
