Questions for flat earthers
« on: May 04, 2017, 02:12:27 AM »
1) how does the flat earth model explain volcanos?

2) how do you explain gravity and such?

3) what does the government get out of saying the earth is flat?

4) how far away is the moon and the sun?

These are genuine questions that I would like to get the flat earth model explanation.
Thanks

1) how does the flat earth model explain volcanos?

Similar to how a volcano on a round earth works.

Quote from: wikipedia
A volcano is a rupture in the crust of a planetary-mass object, such as Earth, that allows hot lava, volcanic ash, and gases to escape from a magma chamber below the surface.

Earth's volcanoes occur because its crust is broken into 17 major, rigid tectonic plates that float on a hotter, softer layer in its mantle.

2) how do you explain gravity and such?

Infinite plane model, universal acceleration, denpressure or my personal favourite fall-downyness.

3) what does the government get out of saying the earth is flat?

Control the meme control the mind.

4) how far away is the moon and the sun?

Pretty far. Takes me about 1.3 seconds to get to the moon and 8 minutes and 20 seconds to the sun on a slow day.
Why would that be inciting terrorism?  Lorddave was merely describing a type of shop we have here in the US, a bomb-gun shop.  A shop that sells bomb-guns.

1) how does the flat earth model explain volcanos?
Volcanoes are specific areas on the Earth where magma and other material from under the Earth's surface appear above surface during times of eruption activity.
2) how do you explain gravity and such?
Gravity does not exist.

"Such," is a determiner, predeterminer, or pronoun.
3) what does the government get out of saying the earth is flat?
I do not think the government says the Earth is flat.

4) how far away is the moon and the sun?
Reportedly 400 to 5000 miles above the surface of the Earth.
These are genuine questions that I would like to get the flat earth model explanation.
Thanks
You are welcome.

so someone please tell me - when I observe the ISS tracking map site, and are informed that the ISS will be passing overhead visibly, and I stand outside looking up and actually watch this "large star looking thing" passing overhead just as the tracker claims, what am I seeing?

You are seeing a stratollite or a pseudolite. There's something flying around up there, but it's not in space.
I'm sorry. Am I to understand that when you have a boner you like to imagine punching the shit out of Tom Bishop? That's disgusting.

what is a "stratollite or a pseudolite" ? never heard of it

stratollite - http://www.uasmagazine.com/articles/1587/world-view-enterprises-introduces-a-new-kind-of-uas - no, what I'm seeing is moving 1000s mph - not carried by the wind direction

Pseudolite is a contraction of the term "pseudo-satellite," used to refer to something that is not a satellite which performs a function commonly in the domain of satellites. Pseudolites are most often small transceivers that are used to create a local, ground-based Global Positioning System (GPS) alternative ----------- nope, not seeing it

so again - what are they?

There's something flying around up there, (ya think?) but it's not in space. < how do you know?

but it's not in space -- if it's not in space then it's in our atmosphere (where jets fly) and therefore would need beacon lights, there are none

I already answered your question. If you are not satisfied with the answer feel free to start a thread in FE General or FE Debate. This is Q & A.

You could also use the search and read one of the hundreds of threads on this topic that already exist.

How could an object move so fast in the atmosphere without burning? Also, how come it is able to move at a constant speed? The drag from the air would slow it down significantly.

Question 3 ought to be: What does the government get out of saying that the earth is round ?

Well, I'd like to know that too.  Yes, I know govts lie, and I too have plenty of examples, but the shape of the planet seems to be a lie of such magnitude and involving stuff outside the control of any government that it seems not quite what a govt would lie about.  And it's a lie that doesn't seem to do the govt any good.  And isn't it odd, if the Round Earth is a lie, that not a single country - not even one at war with us - has blown the whistle on that lie.

If the earth is flat then entirely new industries and sciences could be developed - and the economy would be stimulated - to explore and exploit whatever is beyond The Edge of the Flat Earth - possibly the sides of the planet have entirely different forms of plant and animal life, maybe even different forms of intelligent life.

A disposable slave labour force.
And the sky was made of amethyst
And all the stars were just like little fish
