Cheesus is so wise I sometimes think he's my alt.
CheesusCrust is wise.
Ski, you now have my full respect.
That one tsunami a few years back killed like 500,000 people, so what's 1000 here or there?
Besides, perhaps FET is a conspiracy too.
It is just the way it is, you understanding it doesn't concern me.
Pretty significant if one of them is someone that you care about.
Our existentialist, relativist, nihilist, determinist, fascist, eugenicist moderator hath returned.
objectively good

Then when someone I care about passes on I expect them to post in a thread I make about how sorry they are, and how tragic the death of a single human being is.
Are you saying that someone that you care about being dead isn't significant?

Why do we fall back to earth? Because our weight pushes us down, no laws, no gravity pulling us. It is the law of intelligence.
Only one thing can save our future. Give Thork a BanHammer for Th*rksakes!
How dare you have the audacity to demand my deposition. I've never even heard of you.

The disaster and deaths are apparently not significant to you, a self centered person. However there a tradgedy going on for millions of people to whom this event is very significant. So don't think about them, just keep thinking about yourself.

My caring for individuals does not change based on their being alive or dead, nor does any event which they are part of. I know people are easily swayed in the moment, but fluctuation sympathy is wholly annoying and fallacious. And I always have to chuckle at the usage of "self-centered" as some sort of negative connotation. If no one was self-centered, we'd all be dead.

No one goes on every day and brings up the fact that people have died that day, but when something bad happens it's, "OH MY GOD THIS IS HORRIBLE PEOPLE DIED. " Fact of the matter is, there is really no reason to care about people outside your own little social bubble dying.
Or living in a way better world
