I'm pretty sure that the earth is a globe, but I want to understand Flat Earth a little more.
Heard that y'all think the government is hiding stuff from us.
My question is: Why would they do that? What's the incentive?

maybe because they're not trying to hide stuff. sure, the government is fishy, but there is a statistical higher chance that the earth is round considering other planets and the sun are.

So you think science just gives us probable truths? I'm curious as to why you pick this particular philosophy up when others have rejected it.

One thing we can all agree on, is this…once Flat Earth Theory is returned to the standard curriculum at all learning levels, people are insured a better and more rounded education.

What this gives is the ability for correct Earth shape identification and having the resources to prove it.

also what I cam agree with is that once flat earth theory is returned to standard education, we'll be going backwards in science. centuries of scientific advancement and you've still got people believing in flat earth.

We know that special relativity is correct as we have technology that depends on it (like say radar guns).  So if the earth had in fact been accelerating upward at 1g for a very long time we would have long long ago reached .99999...C and would observe all sorts of strange visual effects so extreme that animal life would not be possible since no animal would be able to correctly perceive and hence interact with their environment.  Things look the same observed from any direction.  The color of a flashlight remains the same whether pointed up, down or sideways.  Obviously the earth is not traveling upwards at near C.  Just as obviously it's not flat.

I'm sorry, I'm sure you won't believe this coming from a flat earther, but you don't understand relativity. It would only appear to be traveling at .999 C to an outside observer. Radar guns would work fine. That's the entire point of relativity and why it works how it does...  in fact are you familiar with the equivalence principle? The earth (and observable universe as it is U.A.) are the inside of the elevator.

The vast majority of very old religions at some conception were either a horizontal or a vertical cosmology; mostly vertical cosmologies were island based world views. Both favor a flat earth. This shouldn't be taken as evidence for either point of view, but in all likelihood they didn't consider the earth to be round.

Our site has brief evidence that they thought it flat, or at least as Rowbotham puts it - not a globe:

There is also of course the world turtle that supported the flat earth.

There's actually an explanation for that.  Every computer in fallout is based on vacuum tubes which are inherently radiation and emp resistant.  How that can fit that many vacuum tubes on one's wrist is a matter of suspension of disbelief.

Sure, but pipboys have a radmeter on the outside of the device. I believe its used in the show once or twice.
