Have something you'd like to see on TFES? A bug you want squashed?

Our new CI/CD setup makes me working on the forums significantly easier and less dangerous, so please bring them up here and your lazy no good admin might get bored during the work day and implement them.

I would like Ctrl + Enter to become a posting shortcut... and maybe browser notifications for replies.
Update: I finally noticed that shift + alt + s posts

Is there any chance that you can have obnoxiously large pictures automatically resized to a more manageable size?   It would be helpful for those of us who don’t have 4k monitors or are using our phones.  I know that it is possible because the other site that shall remain nameless does it and you don’t want them having a better site than this one, do you?

In the updated topics list, there are 3 colourful categories:

🟦Normal Topic
🟨Hot Topic (More than 40 replies)
🟥Very Hot Topic (More than 40 replies)

With the current settings, it is impossible for a topic to be yellow... pls fix

Also, it should be able to cool down based on weekly activity. As in, 100 posts in a two-week cycle. If a week passes after that and no posts arrive, it is by definition "no longer a hot topic."

Good idea

Didn't think of cool down after 2 weeks, tho saw some Xenforo setting for ranking trending posts tho (idk if SMF has cooldowns)

Request the ignore user feature  to ignore the avatar and username also.

Sometimes an avatar or username is more the problem than the posting.

Also request solution to ignore posts that contain indecent words.

Request feature so user can delete his or her account.

Problem seems to be with the homepage again.

This is why we need an admin that actually logs on from time to time.

Odd. Not noticing any issues. Maybe its because the admin logged in and fixed it.

So you want all the images right sized for whether you are on your phone or on your 4k monitor as far as file size? If that's the ask that's totally doable.
