Which part of that verse which I quoted from the bible describes the Earth as flat with a dome over it? Your hatred towards the bible seems to have affected your vision. It specifically says the circle of the Earth.
The verse YOU quoted.
It describes Earth as a circle, with the heavens stretched out like a tent.
This sure sounds like the common FE fantasy, where Earth is a flat (circular) disc, with a dome/firmament over it.
Again, Isaiah 40:22, the start:
"It is he who sits above the circle of the Earth"
Several issues here.
Firstly describing Earth as a circle, not a sphere.
The idea that when viewed from above a sphere is a circle is entirely pointless.
When viewed from ANYWHERE, a sphere is a circle. There is no POV of a sphere which isn't a circle.
But another issue entirely overlooked by both you are markjo is the "above" part.
For a FE, you can easily be directly above it, above and to the side, just to the side, below, etc.
But for a spherical Earth, you are either on the surface, inside the surface or outside the surface.
For the FE, this makes sense. Earth is sitting directly above Earth watching over it.
For the RE, at worst it makes no sense at all. At best it is a collection of entirely pointless words which are meaningless.
This also matches ancient ideas of heaven being above Earth.
It doesn't match the more modern ideas of heaven being some other world or dimension or something like that.
Then we get to the end:
"and spreads them out like a tent to dwell in."
Note a tent typically goes from the ground, up to a peak, and then back to the ground.
Kind of like the idea of a FE dome.
But there are plenty of other points as well.
You have the nonsense starting in genesis, where evening went and morning came to give the nth day, for a being allegedly creating the entire world.
That makes no sense for a RE where it is always day somewhere, but makes sense if you have the old FE models where the sun sets to go below Earth, noting that contradicts the modern FE models.
Less directly being FE, but still contradicting modern cosmology, we have the story of the tower of Babel, where humanity tried to build a tower up to heaven (not to mention also failing to match physics as a tower to space could not be built with their materials and even now we don't have materials that would allow building a tower).
Then skipping most, you have Matthew where Jesus was taken to a very high mountain to see all the kingdoms of the world.
Again, making sense for a FE world where all of Earth is visible and a mountain giving you a better view; but inconsistent with a RE where the Earth will block the view to at least half even from infinitely far away.
So there are plenty of cases where the Bible describes things in a way indicating Earth is flat or consistent with an ancient FE cosmology. There is nothing indicating Earth is round.
And yes, I know plenty of dishonest religious nuts will try to manipulate the Bible to pretend it doens't contradict reality.
But they are comparable to FEers, desperately clinging to their fantasy.
The distinction is that they accept most of reality and try to manipulate their unholy book into matching; while FEers reject reality and take their unholy book to be true.
And this isn't the only way the Bible contradicts reality.
And no, this isn't hatred of the Bible, this is just recognising the Bible does not describe reality.
Can you stop making shit up to fit your agenda?
You mean as the religious people are doing to pretend their crappy book matches reality?
