East to East to West

A person can book a flight from California to China, then from China to Eastern Europe then from Eastern Europe to Western Europe and from there fly to the east coast and then to California thus circumnavigating the globe. I my self have done this trip. If the Earth is flat how can I travel in one direction and end up in the same place I left?

A person can stand 50 feet from the north pole and walk East.
The path will be a 100 foot diameter circle and end where it started.

I did not turn at all. I went in practically a straight line so this makes no sense.

What makes you think that east is a straight line?  Even on a round earth, east is a circle.

Yes, great circles. Here's an example from a few days ago:

The only great circle that goes east is the equator.  Every other east follows the concentric circles known as parallels of latitude.

You may want to study latitude and longitude a little more before go around making bold claims that aren't quite right.

You do not know that you "did not turn at all" so you are making a false claim.

Then you say that you "went practically a straight line" and a circle with a radius of thousands of kilometres is "practically a straight line".
