I noticed her eyes but I thought the importance of her eyes being like that was just that she had permanently changed, hence her not answering her husband's question in the end. I'm not sure if that means the entity possessed her or something.

No and it doesn't really look like something I'd enjoy.

Deadpool 2. Waited until it came to 4K blu ray to watch it. The cinema prices in Australia are disgusting. For a good seat (as in the seat is a nice recliner and not like a chair) and actual big screen expect to pay north of $20.

Hell yeah. The recliners are the only way to go. It's gotten to the point that we won't even go to see movies without the recliner option.

I just got Deadpool 2 to watch tonight. I'm looking forward to it. It's the Super Cut edition.
What do you mean you "got" it? Like, bought it? I didn't know you can buy movies, that's weird... What else are people going to come up with?
Maybe someone will have the good fortune to permanently sytfu...

One could only hope...

Anyway, just watched Righteous Kill for the first time.

Good flick...

I saw Ex Machina also.  I didn't hate it but I just didn't like it as much as I thought I would.  Can't quite explain why.

On Annihilation, they never really gave a good explanation for the all female cast.  That didn't bother me though.  What I really liked about the movie is how utterly alien whatever it was that thing they were up against was.  Machine?  Biological?  Some kind of Deity?  Was the harm it causing malicious or accident?  I feel that they were intentionally aiming for something inscrutable which added immensely to the horror aspect.

Ex Machina was a very disappointing 4K transfer. The problem was the cameras and lighting used. Too much noise, everything looked like the ISO was set way too high, things you would expect to be in focus were not quite in focus properly etc. It was a good story but the amateur video work really let it down. The movie 'Morgan' I thought was better

I was so bored during Annihilation I had trouble staying awake. I didn't care for that movie at all lol

Well I suppose Annihilation isn't for everyone.

I think you could excuse Ex Machina's poor 4k transfer on the fact that it's basically an indie movie.

Midsommar

I assumed it was a  romcom or something. But after a family killed themselves with carbon monoxide I'm starting to wonder...

Okay. Definitely not a romcom.

The first suicide. Okay what party doesn't have a ritualistic suicide. But two?

These guys should leave.

I see why dns is the way he is.

how most people don't buy movies any more (I'm guilty of this too)

Looking at my collection of hundreds of titles from Hollywood and Asia......

Last movie I watched was 'Last Action Hero'. Got a shiny steelbook 4K release. Intoducing my kids to Arnold Schwarzenegger

But before that I watched and HIGHLY recommend the Japanese live action movie 'Terraformars'. Holy shit that was good fun!

The Lazarus Effect, which wasn't all that great. Duplass and Wilde are great in stuff, but this movie is a bag of doodie.

And Interview with the Vampire, which is actually great.

A surprisingly good film about copyright contracts, rogue KGB agents, and backstabbing.
