#EXCELLENT POINT#.......on a flat plane with sun above, there is always visibility of sun no matter how far away.......i.e. 24 hour sunshine to every local upon this flat plane.... regards to all..... al jenkins

Try everywhere south of the Antarctic Circle on Dec 21, 2017 (for you in SD, it will be Dec 22, 2017 here).
Then at the South Pole from Sep 21 to Mar 21.
It looked pretty bright there a few hours ago!

Isn't it normal? One side of the earth will get sunlight for 6 months and other sides will remain dark that time. I am a simple man and I use the flashlight in the dark :). I don't want to go that kind place where light is always available. My favorite flashlight list https://theeffectiveguide.com/best-tactical-flashlight/
