The world of a flat earther is a very strange place with many unsolved mysteries.

Part of me envies that. We rounders have to settle for being baffled by things like dark matter and the cause of the big bang. Flat earthers on the other hand can look at everyday things like the sunrise and airplanes and ships disappearing over the horizon with a child like wonder. Or they might be terrified by it and assume it's witchcraft.

Long distance air travel flights in the southern hemisphere tend to make layovers in the northern hemisphere.

Hey I paid your worldview a compliment. There's a kind of fun from not knowing something.

FlightRadar24 - Flight QF28 Santiago to Sydney

QANTAS flies Sydney to/from Santiago every day. The west-east flight takes less time, by the way.

The distance via say Los Angeles would be over twice the distance. How would a 747 manage to do that in 13 hours 45 minutes?

Oh, I know they drug all the passengers and "wind" their watches back.

How do you, Flat Earthers imagine seeing globe - earth horizon?
Imagine this:
You stand at a huge plain and you see the horizon. And... voila, this time you see this is round!! Exactly as a Flat Earher needs to see it. Now, take an imaginary pencil, and in your imagination start drawing a line along that line of that roumd horizon. After you came to the end of the picture, turn yourself 90 degrees to continue drawing that line. Continue turning yourself and drawing the line simultaneously. Where should you expect to see this line after turning and completing at 360 degrees?

One of our moderators is a pilot and engineer. He has supplied us with his pilots license as well. He has testified that he has never witnessed any evidence that showed the Earth to be round.

I suggest you go on a popular travel flight - start to play with different locations for your destination and departure. I think you'll be surprised with what you find. You may be up all night trying to prove it wrong.

I have looked at actual flights on the QANTAS and followed flights on Flightradar24.

I posted this earlier, but you just ignored it.

Are you accusing QANTAS, Flightradar24 and Flightaware of lying?
And are you claiming that the thousands of passengers the fly every week from Sydney to/from Santiago and from Sydney to/from Johannesburg of being deceived?

There are also direct flights from South Africa to/from South America, though QANTAS does not fly those routes.

Please don't claim that these flights go via the Northern Hemisphere, that is simply not possible in actual time taken by those flights.

You'd be wrong.  Not only do we have at least one moderator claiming to be a pilot, but we have at least two other FE'ers who are not moderators who claim to be pilots of which I am aware.  Possibly many more of whom I am not aware.  They all say that you can not see the curvature of the Earth from a commercial aircraft.
