Where in my comment did I say anything even vaguely like "the government never, ever lies"? In fact, I implied the exact opposite. Governments often "massage" the facts, such as the unemployment rate, the national deficit or surplus, healthcare waiting lists, educational standards, corporate corruption, inflation figures, terrorist attacks and federal security, drugs and alcohol rehabilitation rates, welfare management, human rights and justice etc.
Obviously, you—and most other flat earthers—use this to conflate alleged lies about the nation with alleged lies about the Apollo space programs, and by extension the geometry of the planet (why?), the moon and the stars, man-made satellites and in some extreme cases the entire universe.
The fallacy of conflation is obvious here.
