Excelsior, that is the craziest thing I have ever heard. North and South America are indeed continents. There is no evidence, in RE or FE Theories, that indicate otherwise. Calling them islands off the coast of Asia is absurd. In fact, in Latin America, there are only six continents, because North and South America are frequently designated as ONE continent, since if the Panama Canal did not exist, one could walk from Alaska to Tierra del Fuego without ever touching water. And the Panama Canal is man-made. I have even occasionally heard that there are five continents, because Asia and Europe get designated as Eurasia. But calling North and South America (whether they are one or two continents) islands is absolutely and completely absurd in the extreme. I am sympathetic to FET, but there are limits, and that is one of them. In the USA, we are taught that there are seven continents, as opposed to six, which is what Latin American kids learn at school. But in both cases, North and South America are (a) continent(s).
