If the earth is flat, why is there a horizon 12km away? why cant i see Mt Everest the highest peak on earth, it should be standing tall above all others? :/ (or with all others since a lot of other mountains in the Himalayas are of similar height)

You should read the QA and the wiki.

It says: Bendy Light.

But after that, you're pretty much on your own.

Whatever.

Two words. That's all the scientific evidence you need.

And you've got to forget that sometimes, when you climb on the top of a mountain, you can see up to 200 km.

also, smog plays a big part of why you cant see through the most dense layer of our upward accelerating earth. sometimes i can not even see my downtown from less than a mile due to pollution, it is very tragic.

Those words refer to a well-documented scientific fact.

Why are you posting evidence that the Earth is flat?  ???

being the idiot i am i just realised, the very fact you can see further from higher up blows FET out the water. how can the vp at the horizon suddently get further away because you are higher up. altitude doesnt create better eyesight. infact you will be looking through more air particles.
this is the sort of thing that stops people even thinking twice about FET. i have never had a moment when i thought "wow yeh they are right FET could be possible".
i have seen many posts from the FES claiming "ofcourse you can see further at altitude!". well yeh you cant deny that, the question is why and how?

Not really. A couple of drawings, very little Math, some lines in the FAQ and the wiki, that's all.
