You know, I always wondered, simply in the back of my mind, if Osama had several people in his guise.  Either plastic surgery (or other cosmetic surgeries) to make other people look like osama, or he was cloned several times at birth or so.

I'm not really a conspiracy theorist or anything, but that would be a cool one.

I doubt he's dead and I doubt it would make a difference if he was.  I even have a few doubts about whether or not he is the head honcho like they say he is.

No we don't.  I have often thought that he's been a media scapegoat for the attacks.  Although he knew about the attacks there is little evidence he had much real involvement.  I find it incredible to hear people who were involved in the 11/9 attacks (ie. surviving victims etc.) talk about how the US needs to catch him so that they can have justice etc.  It's just amazing how they so easily believe what they're told by the media and not what they're told by the experts.

Obviously having a face to the attacks is much better for the media strories and also makes us feel better than realising that there are thousands of people who could have helped with attacks against us.  I think his status is completely irrelevent.  I've heard people say that capturing or killing him would be an enourmas boost for the coalition morale but I really don't think our morale will have any effect on "winning" the war on terrorism.  I don't think it's a war that can be won with force and if we try to use force we all lose.  I am a person before I belong to any nation or group.  I see innocent people getting killed in Iraq and in the West.  The more innocent people we kill, the more people hate us.  The more innocent people we kill the more people we have to fight against.  Do we really win if we kill everybody?

I think what we have to understand is that people like him like appearing tough. So if the US wants to ascribe ridiculous, impossible things to him (like Al-Qaeda being in Saddam run Iraq), he is more than willing to take that in order to further his own cause.

If jet fuel was burning in the open then no it could not weaken steel. But it was confined in the elevator shafts of the building creating in essence a gigantic oven. this increased the heat very much. henceforth, the towers collapsed.
