I would like to know

How FES came up with the ridiculous notion that moonlight is dangerous. Of all the insane and unrealistic suggestions on the site (of which there are many), this has to be the most insane I've heard yet. Please, give me some kind of reasoning behind it.

More insane than moonshrimp?

As of how - probably too much moonshine under the moon.

Had to bust in.
To be fair, sometimes what FE'ers say makes so little sense that it's hard to come up with a rebuttal.
Moonlight is good for you.

Good point, moonshrimp is pretty terrible too but at least they have some kind of basis for it

It has little to do with james and more to do with the fact that moonlight reflects no heat whatsoever,  On top of that there have been experiments proving moonlight to be harmful, to at least plants.  How can the reflection of sunlight become harmful to plantlife at night.

There has been an experiment done, and of course if you deprive plants of light and only allow them to see moonlight they're going to die. If moonlight was harmful to plants, there wouldn't be the billions if not trillions of plants that exist on Earth now.

I find it hard to believe they actually conducted such an experiment. Were they really too thick to consider that depriving plants of sunlight might harm them?

And if carbon dioxide wasnt harmful to brain cells you wouldnt find any of them left either you silly fool.  Moonlight as not being an exact reflection of the sun is studied very ardently and you should not oversimplify this world we currently occupy.

However, moonlight is just reflected light from the sun. It is no more harmful than sunlight, and until some tests are provided (like always), this claim is also invalid.

So in the summer in U.S at 4:00 pm its hot as hell, and six hours later the moonlight cannot generate a thousandth of a degree at night due to reflection from the sun? Why do you even try Rob, is this a game to you, were you touched in bad places as a child?  Is there an insatiable need to hurt, to inflict the pain you so clearly labor?  Why?  Go ahead son, mask your insecruity with further insult,  mask your dying need to inflict pain on others. Just rememberm Im on the road to shambala.

TFES did not come up with this theory.  It has been reported and discussed widely for some time.  We are better served, however, by continuing the research and development of the issue.

It's certainly not the most outrageous one. For example, there are a good many members on this website who believe the Earth is round.

Well, seeing as how the moon isn't made of glass and isn't a mirror but it IS made of rock and covered in dirt, I doubt it reflects that strongly. So is it absurd to think that the light coming off the moon doesn't generate heat? Not at all.

It doesn't "generate" heat because it is heat.

Ok, worded incorrectly. It's not absurd that the light coming off the moon isn't nearly as intense as the light off the sun.

Rowbotham (Jesus) discusses the dangerous nature of moonlight in ENaG (Bible). Therefore, it is accepted as fact (Zeteticism).

Really?I couldn't find any information regarding the dangers of moonlight anywhere(unless we are talking about werewolves.)
Do you happen to know where i might read about it(Outside TFES i mean.

Ichi quoted, but did not link, an experiment that had shown cellular damage to rattlesnakes in simulated moonlight. I wouldn't accept the study because rattlesnakes do hunt at night naturally, and wouldn't if moonlight was harmful to them. Not to mention that if they're hunting at night, that means their prey is out at night too. Obviously mice are either immune to the deadly moonrays, or moonlight isn't harmful.

That might be the case. I shall investigate this together with Dr Crustinator. If it's true, then maybe there's still some hope for mankind! We may be able to find the gene that makes them immune to moonlight and find a way to neutralize the deadly properties of moonlight. Can you imagine how amazing it would be to be able to watch the moon or go for a walk in the middle of a night without all the potential risks? I see that you're making progress, sillyrob. You could become a great FE scientist/zetete and develop many excellent theories someday.

an ancient torture method employed by the arctrians was to bind a person and leave them exposed to moonlight for several nights and placing them in under cover during the day.  It would eventuall drive the unfortunate person mad and suffer from all sorts of psychological ills.  Ancient cultures knew about the dangers of moon light.   Now the knowledge is being intentionally suppressed.  This is information the conspiracy (NASA, KFC), does not want out in the open.

Dunno. Ask them. They probably wouldn't if they didn't have to.

If they hunted a night, and were harmed by moonlight, then they would
A)Stop being Nocturnal
B)Die out.
C)Adapt.
Which one is it?

But if that something is causing illness, then that would probably hinder the ability of the animal to hunt. This would probably kill it off, indirectly.

If you were bound up for a few days, no matter what light you were exposed to, wouldn't you go mad?
