Tides comes in, tide goes out. Explain that.

Tides are caused by an alignment of moon shrimp and sea shrimp. It is now widely accepted among scientists that moon shrimp probably were once sea shrimp who reached the moon when the tides were a lot higher.

It has yet to be proved that moon shrimp have any connection to Earth shrimp.

And I always thought sea shrimp were actually moon shrimp that came to earth when the tide was high. Thanks to real science, I now know the truth! Thank you Crusty!

Widely accepted? By who? The two scientists who support it but have no actual proof?
I said that they were answered.  I didn't say that they were answered correctly.

I'm unfamiliar with this aspect of the moon shrimp theory.

Thork has shown that nowadays the moon-shimp migrate to earth, isn't it more likely that the earth shrimp came from the moon instead of the other way around?

We need to dissect a moon shrimp and find out what its biological heat shield is made of. Or do they have little space shuttles? The FAQ doesn't say.

Tides are caused by the pull of the moon, the sun, and the fractal nature of the earths topography.

Tides are an illusion caused by seismic activity in the Earth's crust. In reality, it is the crust that moves up and down, not the water.

The Earth's crust is known to be subject to complex seismic activity. Just last week, there was a disastrous earthquake in New Zealand. Therefore, it makes sense to conclude that the crust can easily move up and down on a regular basis.

How many waterquakes have you heard about?

Then why does the high tide not happen when the moon is overhead?

It is touched briefly in ENaG

Gravity does not exist. Please read the sticky on gravity.

Moon shrimp has far more support both on this forum and in the wider scientific community as a whole. It saddens me that you are still pursuing outdated theories.

Until you are able to provide evidence that moon shrimp do not exist we must assume that they do. It is the only rational course of action.

Sorry Crusty, but it doesn't work that way.  As you well know, the primary burden of proof lies with the one making the claim.  You have claimed that moon shrimp are responsible for tides, therefore you are the one obligated to support that claim with evidence.

Not at all. I'm just saying that earthquakes are evidence that the crust is subject to constant seismic activity, making it more likely that it is the crust moving than the ocean.

Is not "it is the crust moving than the ocean" equal to "earthquakes are responsible for tides"?

Not necessarily;  the crust could bob without an earthquake in theory.

Then my main point still stands; Parsifal is claiming that regular, uniform, and predictable crust movements are the cause of tides.
