And you can see the difference between "magic" and "undiscovered phsyical relation"?
Yes, which, for the third time now, is the point.

If you want to disprove it, it's up to you. I'm sure there's people out there that'll give you money. Put a team together. Make a blog. Get sponsorship from the people that make Phileas Fogg crisps. Write press releases. Get celebrities on board. Get a newspaper campaign going. Find a sympathetic newspaper editor. Post stuff on youtube. Get Bono to write a song. Go on hunger strike. Paint "Flat out truth" on the side of your house.

Now I want to do all those things...

If anyone can pull all of that off with style, I'm sure that you could Gayer.

I'll start next week. Might give the hunger strike a miss though, I kinda like eating

I could tell by the pictures. You must be pushing 300 lbs by now. It's not healthy. Give the hunger strike some thought before dismissing it.

I think his point is simply that the very foundation on which RE is based is unknown. Without gravity, nothing in RE works. You don't what causes it, so you just assume it's there.

I mean come on guys if you can't even draw up a map an a few equations based on simple observations, what is your believe system except magic?

You want us to go out and accurately map every square mile of the earth's surface?  ???

Yes please. I'm thinking of you really; accurate maps would be very useful in your armament against RErs.

We'll be happy to start mapping the 197 million square miles (RE numbers) of the earth's surface as soon as you guys start donating towards the millions of dollars it will take to fund the project.

Like I told Divito, get a job as a cartographer, that way you can get paid for measuring the earth.  Or better yet, try to get in on geodesic survey team.

TheEngineers argument seems to be "if you don't understand every physical interaction in the whole universe then you believe in magic".
That is not my argument.  My point is that you RE'ers complain and gripe about FE'ers not knowing what Dark Energy is or how it causes the acceleration of the FE.  In a sad attempt to be witty, you RE'ers refer to this as "magic".  I've only been pointing out the hypocritical nature of this line of 'debating'.  I've asked you RE'ers for the exact same thing you ask of FE'ers:  What is the mechanism that causes 'gravity'?  So far, none of you can explain it, so I am using your own argument against you:  By calling this mechanism "magic".

But refuse to go and look.

You make it sound like it's at the local convenience store.

Also, kindly stop referring to FE mechanisms as magic, or I shall be forced to call you "Wizard" from this point forward.

And as I've said before, there is a magnitude of difference.

One group battle with the smallest elements of the universe in an attempt to unlock the biggest secrets of time and space.

Another group battles over whether there's a wall running round the earth, and if so how big it is. But refuse to go and look.

The great thing about logic is that, you don't get to choose when you apply it. It doesn't matter what "battle" there is.

It's easier to observe than anything you can come up with.

If it were so easy to prove conclusively, it would seem that someone here would have done it and the reason for debate would be gone.  The fact that this forum exists would seem to lend credence to the idea that proving a round earth is harder to do than you're indicating here.

Which is more like magic:

Something badly explained, patched together with conspiracy and papered over with unnavigable territories.

Something which is clearly documented, bound by formulae upon formulae, and shown to be correct.

We're talking about UA/gravity, not the theories. Stop taking quotes out of context, and tell us the mechanism for gravity before you post again, or I'll report you for spam, which is what you're doing.

Sorry about this my little Buckaroo, but you're going to have to figure out fundraising yourself.

So you want me to raise many millions of dollars for a massive project just to demonstrate something to you that I already know?  ???

How about you raise many millions of dollars to build a rocket ship and blast off into space.

Like I told Divito, get a job as a cartographer, that way you can get paid for measuring the earth.  Or better yet, try to get in on geodesic survey team.

I'm not aware of any cartographers or geodesic survey teams actively mapping all 197 million square miles of the earth's surface.

Google earth is not a survey. It is a composite of images. And it doesn't claim to have pictures of the entire surface.

The problem is that the only excuses they have for things that can conclusively prove if the earth is flat or not, is that it's part of a global conspiracy, like space travel

Quote
I think, realistically FE'ers have to concede that the earth has been pretty well mapped.
The problem is that none of the maps are accurate flat earth maps that include the giant ice wall or that are accurately detailed. There are no preseet day FE cartographers, nobody is exploring anything
