What can't be proven?  The planets crashing?

The Flat Earth Theory is absurd , but thats only my OPINION
Few here subscribe to it yet many still act as a "Devils advocate"
The people who defend the idea are asking you to debate in a rational and scientific manner.Give them facts they cant counter, its only a debate.

I agree with you... There are more facts that prove the Earth is round.

Thats the spirit,
You may want to look up escape and orbital velocity to argue the Suns satellites .

Don't bother. Whatever you think up has already been explained by Flat Earth Theory. The answers are here as follows:

Conspiracy
Perspective Effect
Circumnavigation is possible
The atmosphere is not perfectly transparent
The stars have a slight gravitational pull
A stellar multiple system exists above the hub of the earth
Snell's law of light bending downwards as it passes through a medium
The earth is an infinite plane

I'll leave the questions to these answers as an exercise to the reader.

These are the main things that prove my point.  There are many more.

There is no photo of the ice wall
There are pictures and videos of the Earth rotating
Angle of Polaris
The 'sinking ship'
Time zones
Lunar Eclipses (the shadow of the Earth)
If there was an ice wall, wouldn't NASA let people see it for a good amount of money.

Listen, I am a teenager and don't understand this vocab.  Can you try to explain this stuff and I will prove you wrong.

There is no photo of the ice wall

Actually, there are photos of the 150 foot Ice Wall at the coast of Antarctica.

Conspiracy

Quote
Angle of Polaris

Perspective effect based on one's latitude upon the surface of the earth. Overhead bodies tend to naturally descend as they recede from the observer. Talk to any Art teacher for a reference.

Quote
The 'sinking ship'

This occurs as a result of the vanishing point being a finite distance away from the observer.

See: http://theflatearthsociety.org/forum/index.php?topic=17379.msg299892#msg299892

Time zones

Time Zones are an artificial concept.

Lunar Eclipses (the shadow of the Earth)

The Lunar Eclipse is accurately explained and predicted in Chapter 11 of Earth Not a Globe

There is nothing preventing you from visiting the 150 foot Ice Wall at the coast of Antarctica. Many people have been there.

These don't prove its its a continuous barrier, Ross discover an ice shlf not a wall

Does not comply with observation

No they are a result of the Earth rotating ,the term Time Zone is a description of convenience.

No, incorrectly and inaccurately, still does not explain shape of eclipse.

you basically repeated what was already said

I can prove that wrong.  It will just take a while.  If you want, ask me to prove one part (at a time) wrong and I will.  I have reasons for all of the answers you gave me.

I've never seen any round earth. Why should I believe in something I've never seen?

But your are incorrect...

"This shows that the fatter a planet is, the faster it rotates.  "

The speed of rotation is not dependent on size.

thats another problem with your theory, the earth would have to be in constant acceleration which it has been for billions of years so it would be going stupidly fast through space...wheres all this power and energy come from to move the earth the "cold and hot light" stars and everythign else in the universe "upwards at a constant rate of acceleration to great 1g's worth of gravity?

surely whatever power source would do this would have ran out in billions of years ago.

What about the RE's Dark Energy?  Why hasn't it run out by now?

the round earth just sits there doesn't use up any energy, its being thrown around in space by the suns gravitationalpull, which keep sthe earth at a constanst speed,m where as your flat earth is accelerating into infinity

No, it's accelerating to the speed of light, which it will never reach.

Now, I asked originally about the RE's Dark Energy...

there isn't anything out there known by "dark energy" unless your watchign somethign liek star wars or star trek or whatever they make up in them..

the earth spins on its axis, because there is no force in space acting against it to stop it spinnign, its not using any energy to spin, nor is it loosing energy because it is spinning, it moves through space because there is no force acting against it to stop it moving, and it will keep moving at the same speed forever. unless it blows up, or hits another planet or big meterite etc.

doesn't need dark energy or energy when its not using energy at all.
