My sister just got it last month. We are so twining.
Shes a nurse though so I'm honestly surprised it took her this long to bump into it. However looking at the stats I mean statistically we had a pretty good chance of not getting it at all.

What you're asking about is Calvinist (Reformed) theology. Unconditional election. I believe it to be false doctrine.
Here is how I handle free will and God's omnipotence. Basically it comes down to mutiple timelines with every choice being a new timeline. God knows all of those timelines and what they look like had you made a different choice at each intersection. That gives you the free will to make the choice, and God knows the outcome of all the choices you will make.

What do you (or any Christian) think about all those evangelicals begging for money all the time? There was one in Florida recently who needs several million for a private plane.
I am always skeptical when televangelists (or megachurch pastors) are asking for money, because they seem to do it all the time. Some of my favorite churches that I have attended never asked for money, and always appeared to have enough to do what they needed to do.
P.S. On a side note I hope the guy in Florida gets his jet. I could use a job.
P.P.S. I recently became a licensed commercially rated pilot.

I believe because I have watched God answer prayers. I have also watched God not answer prayers, however I have watched people grow in their love of God because of those prayers not being answered. To include the death of a very good friend of mine who was ill. I have watched things that happen that people call karma. Why is karma any better explanation than "God did it"? I believe for lots of reasons you would scoff at.
