You seem to think being Jewish precludes the tenets of NAZIism.

Jews had no problem with Hitler.

https://www.tabletmag.com/sections/arts-letters/articles/ellen-feldman-nazi-germany
That is certainly a claim. Especially when your article is about Jews by blood but not faith, or who joined the army to try and avoid discovery and save themselves and their family, and the one example of a Jew that served openly distinctly said he fought for Germany and not Hitler.

yes... some did some things and believed some other things.

Denazify Russia?  Wow, Ukrane is getting cheeky.  That's some high level shade being pulled there.

"Ukraine carried out a precision strike with the Tochka-U missile on an ammunition warehouse in the village of Oktyabrskoe, near Belgorod, Russia. Russia supplies its artillery attacking Ukraine with rockets and missiles stored at the facility," Yury Butusov, a Ukrainian journalist, wrote on Tuesday night on his Facebook page.

"Judging by the explosion and the distance of the warehouse, the 19th missile brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has conducted an effective effort to demilitarize and denazify Russia," the military correspondent added, citing Ukrainian media sources.

Well this is interesting.  There really was a conspiracy in Belarus to impede the war efforts by sabotaging the railway.

I don't know if advertising popular opposition to this is invasion is a smart move for the president of Belarus.

Australia has a population of 25 million so not sure why you want us to contribute a higher dollar amount to America which has over 13x the population. But as for your guys contribution to the world stage, all you can boast is how you have wrecked and destablised large parts of it. Oh that's right. Fucking up the middle east is your idea of peace. For you at least. Hell, you guys even managed to near destablise yourself after the last election. I had to double take to make sure I wasn't watching Kenyas election result instead

As for the people of Australia, we live much happier than you guys, are literate and contribute far above our weight in realms of science. We'll leave it to your guys to to spread your 'brand of peace' lol

Quote
Farida Rustamova is an exceptionally well-connected Russian journalist who — like many honest journalists — is no longer in Russia. But she has continued to report on the country in her own Substack, which frequently has English-language stories and which I encourage everyone to read.

Earlier this month I published my translation of her first post-war report, in which she talked to multiple senior Russian officials and found them in a state of shock and bewilderment at Putin’s decision to invade Ukraine.

This is the follow-up. Farida again talked to over a dozen elite Russians, including some with access to Putin, to see whether things have changed over the last month. They have.

For those of us who have hoped that Western sanctions would make a difference, it’s a difficult and disappointing read. But, I believe, a necessary one.

I’m publishing my translation of the first part of her latest report here. For the rest, check out her own post.

It's not a very encouraging thing to read. (I only copy/pasted the introduction)

An interesting read.  I wonder how the Russian people would feel if they heard all sides of this story.

I feel there's a misunderstanding about these sanctions.  I don't think they're intended to deter or incentivize so much as to make Russia so poor that it can't carry on with the war.

I think they're right about the point of no return.  But that's really on them.  Putin could have started a war without burning all of his bridges.  But now they're North Korea part 2.  Another vassal state of China.  Sad.

Don't they have HBO in Russia?  Haven't they seen the miniseries Chernobyl?

Someone told me that all news about the Chernobyl disaster was supressed in Russia, I know that the HBO miniseries was ( and still is ) banned in Russia.

So it's not surprising that they didn't take suitable precautions,  however other experts are saying that the actual radiation doses they would have likely been exposed to aren't enough to cause "acute radiation sickness",  so while the general gist if the story is likely true, i suspect the severity of the dosage is being exaggerated.

Now we are on the lookout for news reports of "glow in the dark" Russian zombie soldiers.

What a strange reaction to such a straightforward thing.  Russia starts a war with Ukraine.  Belgorod is a staging ground for Russian forces that happens to be within Russia.  A fuel depot is a legitimate target in a war.

But Ukraine is saying they didn't do it.  Implying that maybe Russians are so incompetent that they bombed their own fuel depot.  It's not impossible I guess.

Russia is acting very outraged about this which is also very strange for a country that started a war.

At this point I'm split between Ukraine bombing it and the Russians setting it off by accident.  Either are equally likely and nobody is going to tell the truth about it either way.

Sydney, Perth/Fremantle, Melbourne, then another week in New Zealand.
Perth is literally the furthest one can travel from San Diego.

You keep forgetting that it isn't a war.  It's a "special military action".  Russia is allowed to demilitarize Ukraine, but Ukraine isn't allowed to fight back, and certainly not on Russian soil.  The Ukrainians are the real war criminals. >:(
