What is the max. allowed size for images in the signature?

I turned signatures off.

I believe that historically the rule was: try to avoid exceeding the equivalent of 4 lines of text, but ultimately down to moderators whether or not a sig is excessive. This might have changed - I'm working with old info here.

Depending on line length, four lines of text is a pretty small image.

Unfortunately I sort of have to leave sigs enabled.  Spambots sometimes use them.

Don't like the signature, turn them off. Most people are pretty reasonable and if someone is being ridiculous with it, just report them so the mods can have a word to them.

It would have been nice not to get banned for three days based on a dumb joke, just because I wasn't online for the five minutes after you asked me to do something, but it is what it is.

Just be honest, the non-limit for the sig is just ridiculous, then banning people for showing how ridiculous it is is even worse.

I do not think you have ever been on a forum where the mods are truly out of control if you think THIS is unbearably awful.

The mods here are pretty much classic examples of your average human. Not an insult, but it's solidly in the middle of the bell curve as far as quality goes.

It depends on the mod. SCG is probably a bit to the right, but boydster on the other hand is very, very far left from the middle (left is bad if it wasn't obvious).
