Sure there are a few bad seeds, but no system is perfect...
Weekly reminder 20-40% abuse their wives.
and those that commit wrongs are taken down by the social watch dogs and internal affairs.
If only...
"It divides us" isn't an excuse. The way the police is structured as an institution, not just in the US but in most countries, is very problematic. In the US there seems to be some extra shittiness.
I saw the webpage that claimed this when you posted this...I really want to know where they got their "information"...plus 20-40 percent is a HUGE gap in statistics.
When I posted the link to the webpage I also posted direct links to 2 papers, as far as I remember. The gap was due to different methodologies, it's probably higher than 40% (since some people would obviously not admit to hitting their wives, even in an anonymous survey).
I bet when everything roles out it will show the amount of cops that beat their wife will come down to the national average for males in general in the US. Perhaps a percent or two higher, probably a combo of their job stress and the fact, at least from what I have seen from cops...they pick some crazy ass women for whatever reason. No excuse to hit them, but it doesn't help to build a volatile environment.
Nope, they already did that, the rate was like 3-4 times higher than normal. And these are the people you're supposed to count on to save you from your abusive household.
As for being a divider...he is, we are already divided enough.. black people blaming all their problems on white people and the right is split enough. Now you have them thinking all cops are evil and out to kill them.
Who cares how split the right is lol. The "divisive" ones are the cops eroding trust in the police.
Trying to say there is some wide spread conspiracy against blacks from cops when it doesn't exist..that is a divider.
No conspiracy is required, it's simply inevitable that this shit would happen the way the police works as an institution and because of what's culturally reinforced, and that's what people want to change.
It causes deaths on both sides, either between black people killing cops because of a lie..or white cops being trigger happy. Now there are cops getting hurt and killed because they don't take the proper action from fear of the backlash.
Lol I seriously doubt that's ever an issue in the US, but even if someone got injured or something because they decided not to murder the suspect, well, good. At least they didn't murder anyone.
Btw here are some more stats: cops are slightly less likely to be murdered than the general population, according to Department of Labour stats in 2013 bartenders were more likely to die during work hours than cops, and people such as say delivery drivers consistently score much higher than cops in the most dangerous professions, and they usually shoot and kill like 25 times more people than the number of police officers shot each year, so let's not exaggerate how common it is for cops to die.
