He grew from being a rather strong and good looking young man into a stinky bum.
That's generally what happens when you, you know, get old.

Yay, we have a second member with an ignore list now!

I just read that Graceland gets 700,000 visitors a year.   As residencies go only the white house gets more and that's because schools book tours for students.  Elvis has been dead over 40 yrs and all these people from all over the world take the time to visit his shrine!

To reiterate:   Science requires no special gift.  Anyone who can balance a check book and is willing to work hard can become an effective scientist.  If Archimedes, Newton and Einstein had not lived science and technology would be at the same place.  Science is about the daily grind of trial and error.   Scientists necessarily build on what came before them.  When advancement does happen it is just another logical step that someone, sooner or later, was bound to find.

Personally, I think science has come to a point of diminishing returns.   I think that any art or music that is worth remembering has already happened and the world isn't really going any farther.  Nothing new from here on out.  The forces of decay have taken over.

Is the guy who elevates himself to the same heights as Socrates and Tolstoy, running a bit of a martyr complex? As he slowly winnows down the people who he will respond to based on their reading comprehension (cruel), and lack of admiration for some dead singer he had the hots for.

Apparently, he “don't steal; treats women and their babies with deference; respects his neighbours’ property.  And doesn’t hurt anybody. “

For your information, I don’t covet my neighbours’ oxen, massacre innocents or pee in the swimming baths, but as you have (uncharitably) pointed out, doesn’t make me a nice person.

Rest assured they don't go there specifically for that.

I never said I was a 'nice person'.    "Is the guy who elevates himself to the same heights as Socrates and Tolstoy,"   And I never did that either.  That is merely you rushing to judgment.    Tolstoy was a binge drinker and degenerate gambler.  Socrates was a rascal and a boy lover.  The only resemblance I have to either of those guys is that I get condemned because I don't go along with the conventional wisdom.  Unlike you who doesn't mind sitting back and letting others tell you how and what to think.

Damn, that means I’m not one of the 6 on the ignore list, but it sure as shit narrows it down for you losers, there was only 8 people apart from Elvis’s love child posting on that page, if you want to get your message through to our suffering angel, you can come through me ( for a price), I think he likes me.

Huh.

Don't forget what I said about work.    Then yes, balancing a check book is indeed science.

To reiterate:  anyone who can balance a check book and is willing to work can become a scientist.  It takes no special gift.  Our school systems have created heroes where there are none all for the endeavor of creating a society full of thralls who don't question authority.

So much hubris.   So much bigotry.  All because, of me being here in this little microcosm and not having any regard to the sacred cows of Scientism.   You materialists, atheist, technocratic types are every bit as bigoted as any religious fanatic.

The schools including the universities have diddled our heads.   Anyone who has taken the time to insult me is insecure in their beliefs.  Part of a plan of 'divide and conquer' I am sure.

Yeah, I guess so.  I was giving him the benefit of the doubt and assuming he was just a moron, cos I'm a nice guy like that.  But he's definitely a troll trying to amuse himself (and hopefully failing).
