Hi, I'm new to the whole "Flat Earth Theory," and I was wondering if you all could tell me what shape the flat earth is in? Is it a circular shape?
Best to let fe answer.
But check out "North Polar Unipolar Azimuthal Equidistant Projection" (of the globe) for one "flat earth model."
Another flat earth opinion it is the "Bipolar Projection.
Basically it is  a flat circular disc centered  on tne North Pole. Antarctica is an ice wall around the riim of the disc.
Some say there is no flat earth map, but it's "a work in progress" to develop one.
The globe is a lie.
I'm a "round earther" but I'm answering because sometimes you don't get answers from "flat earthers."
Hopefully for you, maybe they will answer your questions..

Its either a flat infinite plane or a flat non-euclidean closed surface.

And just what is A Flat Puddle supposed to make of that? Are you really trying to put this new member right off the whole flat earth idea?

You give no suggestion where further information might be found and the obvious place to look is in "the FAQ" assuming A Flat Puddle can find it.
Looking up "flat infinite plane" in the FAQ only shows:
Quote
What Is Gravity?
Gravity as a theory is false. Objects simply fall.

In the flat earth community there are several theories as to why this happens. Some attempt to explain this with use of mechanics like electromagnetism, density, or pressure. Others make use of traditional mathematics, such as the infinite plane model, and others a new look at the problem - such as the non-euclidean model.

What is certain is sphere earth gravity is not tenable in any way shape or form.
This is even inconsistent within itself as the infinite plane model relies on Newtonian Gravitation, which is "sphere earth gravity".
Then a couple of references to "infinite" that are of no help to a newcomer.

Then "flat non-euclidean closed surface" appears nowhere and "non-euclidean" only appears in the above FAQ reference.

In my opinion A Flat Puddle would be further confused by your answer.

Why should I? Googleotomy had already done that.
In my opinion John Davis's answer was quite confusing and unhelpful.
Maybe you could explain just what John Davis means with his "flat non-euclidean closed surface"?

But I note that instead of answering the OP yourself, you choose, as always, to attack me.

I think people come to this , and any other website,  for information.
I  also think questions should be answered by flat earthers themselves.
Not having seen any, I just posted what I have read on the subject.

I also think the moderators are one of main the causes for people leaving this website by their attitudes and actions.

I think if I asked a question and didn't get any answers , but just got a rude, crude insult, I would be a bit put off.

Finally, there are some of us who have had the opportunity of a little education, a little study, a little observation, and a liitle job experience to know about the shape of the earth and to get the word out that the earth isn't some flat disc .It's a globe.

Maybe not scaring them off , but making them lose any interest in this website from the less than polite actions of the moderators.
If the fe's would just answer with fe questions rather than make snide remarks such as "RE-tards" it would be a lot more conducive for a discussion of fe ideas.

I think  this thread is a prime example.
If I wasn't so stubborn I would have left long ago. LOL
I'm going to stay on , post facts, and try to stay clear of posting on the Q&A Section.
I will freely admit I'm here mainly just for the entertainment. LOL

If you want to see what some people think of the FES and this website, read some comments on the Internet.

If you want to say that you  believe the earth is flat, that's fine. But if you really believe that, that's wrong.

Most religious views hold a dome. Most archaic and before views do the same. Shenton was a fan of it. Johnson of the infinite plane - though his went infinitely deep as well against my suggestion. Today, I hear of a confined dome - like a snow globe, or an infinite plane. Shenton happened upon the two - an infinite flat plane with domes. There is a third view, where the earth is a non-euclidean closed surface that is flat.
If yo can't arrgue both side, you understand neither

So this one earth has a dome (possibly "like a snow globe"), is an infinite plane and "is a non-euclidean closed surface that is flat".

Got that! But I have one little question, "How can this one earth be all of those at once?"

In my opinion you shouldn't get so worked up over a noob who will probably not come back anyway.

Thanks for your very gracious invitation to a new visitor to this website.

Are you still here, AFlatPuddle ?
Incidentally, FE says that the Bible says the earth is flat.
Read Isaaiah 40:22.

I would like to ask some questions  about the dome.
This is just a bit of conjecture on my part.
(1) Is the dome like half of a sphere, or like a cereal bowl placed upside down over a flat plate ?
(2) Is the height of the dome greatest over the center of the flat earth, over the North Pole ?
(3) Does the bottom of the dome rest atop the outer rim of the flat earth, atop the ice ring ?
(4) Wouldn't this make the distance from the flat earth to the bottom of the dome be much lower at Australia and the southern tips of Africa and South America ?
(5) If we assume that the dome is something like that of a geodesic dome on a building, the above would be true ?

I mention the geodesic dome since I had some experience on a Building Committee on a church using geodesic domes . The bottom of the dome rested on walls high enough to allow people to stand up around the edge of the dome. If the ice ring was 150 feet tall and the dome rested atop the ice wall, this would seem logical if the esrth was a flat disc ?
"Google Map Street Views" on "3700 West Northgate Drive, Irving, Texas 75062, United States Of America" for a picture of the church.
Picture the outside walls as the ice ring and the geodesic dome as the dome over a flat earth for my idea .

This is not my illustration, its Samuel Shenton's from a lecture. I believe he was positing that each of these domes could have their own civilizations in them; and that it might provide explanation for the ascension of Jesus (and where he went) as well as tying in other mythologies. I find it interesting that he brings in the long held infinite earth view (which can be traced as far back as Rowbotham's time) with the dome ideology. I could see it being a compelling view for many of those flatists that are new to the scene.

I am trying to make sense of the drawing, too.
One dome seems to be covering what appears to be a flat earth map.
One covers something that looks like a white blob in the centrer.
Another a rectangle.
And there is a dark blue mass of something with no dome.
Unless there is some explanation of all this, the drawing makes absolutely no sense at all.

Well yes, infinite earth features many civilizations, many races and cultures. I just don't think these other worlds are inside domes. I view them as super continents kind of like Pangea used to be or much larger situated on top of the infinite ocean. And yes its a good point about Jesus's ascension he probably did go to Paradise located outside Antarctica . Infinite earth also explains UFO's and many other paranormal phenomenon. I actually think that when we die we get new physical bodies and live beyond Antarctica on some of these worlds. Heleocentric model actually makes the existence of aliens pretty impossible because in Heleocentrism there are light years between planets and galaxies, infinite earth is all connected by land and water, this makes the case for Aliens a lot more probable.

I will tell you why the main reason why Domes make no sense. If we had a real dome over our world, that would indicate and proof beyond shadow of a doubt the existence of God or creator.  NASA could not hide the dome. NASA can hide flat earth but no not the dome.

NASA can clearly hide whatever they want, because people want to believe them. This has been engrained in our culture of Aristotelian science since at least the cold war and the moon race. If NASA says they found life on a planet, with no evidence, people believe them. When they invent planets people believe them. When they say they finally discovered dark matter, but didn't, people believe them. The popularity of error is tied directly to man's will to shove any second-hand fact down his gullet.
If yo can't arrgue both side, you understand neither
