Ski, I am curious as to your model of the earth

You mentioned in a thread that something loaned itself to your model.  I am curious as to what that model is.
I promise to try to not argue with you about in this thread, but I will ask questions if I need any clarification.
I have had some decent discussions with a few others about their particular models and would like to hear yours, if you are so inclined.

It's something of an all-encompassing question. It's not something to be banged out in a few minutes like most of my posts. Is there something specific you're looking for?

I am also a bit curious as to your model of the earth.
I am assuming your model may have some diferences from the usual model presented on this forum ?
If so , do have a general idea of how your model differs ?
I am also assuming yours is based on a flat earth map ?

Is it similar to the map you are showing now ?
(The black and white map shown above your name.)

I am also curious as to how you would show the route from San Diego, California , USA to Honoulu, Hawaii, USA to Yokosuka, Japan to Iwakuni, Japan on that map,  having made three "cruises" on that route when I served in the U.S. Navy.

I get that and I wasn't looking for every aspect in one post. Maybe start with the basics. Disk or infinite plane, ice wall, dome etc or any ideas you may have that don't follow the more common flat earth models.

If you have a "model", then you would have no problems showing it.  Maybe you can start with the information in the thread referenced in the OP and go from there.

I am not sure my model is perfectly distinct from most accelerating disc models. Certainly the known surface presents as a disc. I have seen no evidence of a physical dome. The existence of an encompassing ice shelf/continent cannot be denied. Beyond that an immense mountain range ringing the Earth is posited by so many cultures in their mythos that I am inclined to believe it exists, though the evidence for such is woefully insufficient to put much stock in. If it exists, it surely is not holding the atmosphere in, if that is the direction of your query.

I will have to admit that I am fairly well grounded in "round earth" or "the globe" from my studies and experience in the navy and civilian and civil service occupations.(A total of 42 years......4 years Navy, 38 years civil service....some civilian companies and college in between.)

But I am interested in all aspects of ideas from those who have beliefs that the earth is flat.

I am not going to try to change your mind on the subject.
That is something you will have to do for yourself.

My service in the navy was the beginning of my "round earth education."

This is my background.
I would be interested in yours.

Would you be willing to answer the following questions ?
Just one question at a time.

On your model
(1) I am assumng the surface of this earth of your ideas is a flat disc ?
(2) Also, does this disc of your ideas have a ring of ice around its rim ?
(3) I am assuming you don't believe there is a dome above this disc of your ideas ?

That is, asking ski if my assumptions match those of ski's ideas, or if not , could he explain the differences between the assumptions of my ideas and his ?
I have had some experiences in which my instructors used this method of explaining things. They first asked the students what they assumed and then the instructor explained to them if their assumptions were correct, but if not, he explained how the subject at hand really was.
I haven't noticed any vast differences in ski's ideas except maybe he doesn't believe in the dome.
Maybe I'm just "picking his brain." LOL
There are so many different ideas about this "flat earth" subject, that it's interesting to hear as many as possible.
I have some other questions that I would like to ask , but I don't want to interfere with the others.

Main thing is . : What's the difference between "ski's model" and the "usual flat earth model" ?

Once again, I think what all of we "evil 'round earthers'" are looking for is a map showing ski's ideas.
Just my honest opinion, but I think we are all too much of realists in knowing full well that the earth is the globe that it is.
At least, as far as I am concerned.
But.....You can just call it curiosity if you wish...I would just like to see ski's ideas and if and how they differ from other "flat earth models".
It's an interesting subject.

It most certainly can! Unless all those that visits the South Pole and explore Antarctica have been lying to us.
There have been quite a number of trans-Antarctic expeditions and a number of circumnavigations via both poles.

I live in the Southern Hemisphere and know at least that the usual ice-Wall map is total bunkum on the basis of distances and directions.

I'll go into much more detail if you wish.

Is the south pole you are referring to not in a barren expanse of ice and rock? I'm confused.  I'm open to the possibility that the "pole" is located on an island apart from the ice rim. People have seemingly circumnavigated "something", after all.

Ok I'm not clear on a point here. The UA is acting upon the earth and the sun but not on the things in between?

Objects near the surface of the earth appear to be shielded from the effects of the UA.

Well, as I have said, oh I don't know, lots of times, the FE creates a type of 'bow shock' in the Dark Energy, setting up the DEF.  This bow shock/field prevents the DE from interacting with objects above the FE until the field has collapsed (not necessarily in totality, but locally).
