i recently became a flat earth agnostic. i dont know if earth is flat or round

i found many arguments over past few months that i thought were strong points for flat earth. some of those being

1) the stars circle around polaris, even when filmed from the equator. which seems impossible to me given the spinning movements a stationary camera would make at the equator. should be impossible for the starts to make those movements around polaris

2) i see many videos of nasa clearly faking videos (strings to levitate . and those plane zero G dives . and underwater space walks)

3) the picture of the red-bull jump where the horizon is totally flat when hes so far up

4) video of the sun from far away and it gets grows larger as it moves closer to you and gets smaller as it moves away. thats proof the sun is rotating around us because the sun should always be the "same size" in vision from earth. it growing larger and smaller shows its moving to and from

5) plane flight strangeness. such as there was a story a while ago of a flight from australia to LA making a "emergency stop" at alaska when a woman was giving birth... which makes no sense on a round earth map but makes sense on a flat earth map

6) lack of any real pictures of earth form space that should exist on all the satellites. pictures should be so easy to get given those satellites, but cant find one

7) the strange history of antarctica. how once we reached a decent level of technology and militarys reached antarctica and explored it slightly, it was immediately "sealed off" and a agreement was made for no private companies to set up shop in antarctica. and they created that funny ceremonial south pole that people pay to take tours of

so those are some things that turned me into a flat earth agnostic. i now cant believe in a round earth until i personaly fly on a spaceship myself and see it for myself

now moving on... i remember a story a few years ago of a meteor blowing up over russia. it made a large explosion and people filmed it and windows were broken

so i just thought.... what the hell is that meteor ? if outer space doesnt exist then how can that meteor even exist to blow up over russia?

1. There is no problem with the pattern that results from a long exposure photograph looking toward polaris from the equator on a round earth. The camera is basically looking at a specific star and is spinning. There is however a major problem getting the same results on a flat earth.  It would be even harder yet on a flat earth to get the same results looking south toward the southern celestial pole, yet people take the picture quite often, and it does work just fine on a round earth.

2.  The 'weightless' parts of those zero-g flights are short, and underwater is the next best thing to simulating weightlessness for practice.  I think I've seen one video with something that vaguely resembled a string.

3.  Haven't seen it.

4.  It stays the same size all through the day.  I've never seen a video of it growing larger and then smaller throughout the day.  I've seen fe'rs try to pass off camera exposure and cloud effects as proof of it getting smaller toward sunset, but I've never seen any real evidence of it.

5.  Depends... Was it a direct flight from Australia (where in Australia) to LA?

6.  Not all satellites have cameras.  There are pictures from some satellites though.  Searth harder.

7.  Probably to preserve the wilderness of the place.

ok you are earth shape agnostic. good. let me counter these points.

1. The Earth's north poles and south poles have stars appearing directly above or near it. if the earth's axial tilt changed, the north and south celestial poles would appear to be near or over other stars.

2. Well strings haven't been seen really and there might be straps in some cases. Also zero G flights are like 30 seconds anyways.

3. The shots all use wide angle cameras. Try and get a view of it, place a crosshair in the center, and have the horizon intersect the center. You either see a flat horizon (only a small cross-section of the globe) or a slightly curved horizon.

4. That's been proven to be glare. Go buy a sun filter.

5. Well would you think they wouldn't stop if a baby was being birthed in flight???!?!?

6. Did you even open up Google? Do you even know what Google is?

7. No one really owns antarctica, but they still claim some land. It's really weird but I'm glad you caught the fact that people can still visit antarctica.

You want to go to space? Save up a lot of money for a ticket on New Shepard. You don't even have to do that. There are so many experiments you can do that prove the earth is round.

Mr debunk attempting to ridicule someone who is agnostic. It's people like Mr debunk that helps to sway people away from a indoctrinated globe.

The motion of stars makes perfect sense considering a round earth. You would exactly expect the stars to rotate around polaris. Star motions in the southern hemisphere can only be explained under RE and are impossible under FE.

2) i see many videos of nasa clearly faking videos (strings to levitate . and those plane zero G dives . and underwater space walks)
If you would provide an example, this would definitely help.

3) the picture of the red-bull jump where the horizon is totally flat when hes so far up
There have been countless discussions about horizons being curved, flat, sometimes even concave. Mostly this is due to the use of a wide-angle or fisheye lens.

4) video of the sun from far away and it gets grows larger as it moves closer to you and gets smaller as it moves away. thats proof the sun is rotating around us because the sun should always be the "same size" in vision from earth. it growing larger and smaller shows its moving to and from
I have never seen such a video, would you care to provide one? I suspect it is the glare, if you measure the sun using a sun-filter it stays the same size throughout the day

5) plane flight strangeness. such as there was a story a while ago of a flight from australia to LA making a "emergency stop" at alaska when a woman was giving birth... which makes no sense on a round earth map but makes sense on a flat earth map
If you consider flight routes there are many, many problems with the flat-earth map. This particular story: I suppose the pilot took a northern route due to weather and as the emergency occured alaska was simply closer than LA. This flight did not originate from australia, though. I think it was bali or something.

6) lack of any real pictures of earth form space that should exist on all the satellites. pictures should be so easy to get given those satellites, but cant find one
There are literally thousands of pictures. There are sites where you can look at footage from a japanese geostationary satellite and even a livestream from the ISS.

7) the strange history of antarctica. how once we reached a decent level of technology and militarys reached antarctica and explored it slightly, it was immediately "sealed off" and a agreement was made for no private companies to set up shop in antarctica. and they created that funny ceremonial south pole that people pay to take tours of
Note that is indeed possible to travel to antarctica. This "seal" only forbids companies to mine the oil reserves of antarctica

so those are some things that turned me into a flat earth agnostic. i now cant believe in a round earth until i personaly fly on a spaceship myself and see it for myself

now moving on... i remember a story a few years ago of a meteor blowing up over russia. it made a large explosion and people filmed it and windows were broken

so i just thought.... what the hell is that meteor ? if outer space doesnt exist then how can that meteor even exist to blow up over russia?
Obviously a huge conspiracy. Those thousands of supposed eyewitnesses who need to be paid off are nothing to the numbers of engineers, pilots, naval captains, surveyors, physicists, astronomers (i could go on) who are already in on the conspiracy.
Just my two cents. Would love to see those videos mentioned, then I could go into a little more detail.

Well..... according to sceptimatic, probably a piece of ice that fell off the roof of the dome, accelerated well beyond terminal velocity, and then somehow managed to fall at a shallow angle.

Other than that, I don't know.
