RESOLVED: Technical Help Please- not directly related to the debate

I have now scanned photos from my recent air trip from my Scanner (new) to my computer with assistance from my daughter. I bid her good night and then clicked on the button that says "attachments and other options".
 
The site then directed me to a "browse" button. Well it then took me about 20 minutes to determine what I must do next but I soon realized that I  simply had to scroll down and then "click" on the file where-by the  scans of my photographs had been saved.  I believe what I have written  thus far this is the correct procedure to allow viewing of photographs.

However when I went to "upload" my photographs onto this fair site (or at least my message) I was then directed to a differing web site that requires me to provide my email and a password This makes no sense to me and I think that this is one of these fraudulent websites my daughter warned me about that, in the end, will ask me for a credit card, or my bank account number and separate me from my money.

I have two photos I would like show this forum both of which were taken from my recent trip on British Airways. One of the photos clearly shows the moon in phase which demonstrate what Turkish contributor has hypothesized and that could simply not happen if the earth orbited the sun
The second clearly shows a flat horizon and thus is proof the earth is flat.

I also tried to capture the Sun as we flew eastwards at high-speed towards it but the glare washed out the photographs.

Could anyone help me with this? If you are a moderator I would be happy to send you the photographs via my personal email which could be placed, as a reply, from one who knows how to upload these photographs, under my "short trip" thread.

Upload the pictures to a site like imgur, then just use:

[img]~insert URL of image here~[/img]
Probably easier. The architecture of this forum isn't too well maintained.

Was that differing website 'imageshack'?

I don't recall the last time I used the file attachment on this site.  I gave up using imageshack when it began charging to use it.  Photobucket is still free, but the image quality that ends up being posted isn't that great.  Postimage.org allows for higher quality images.  There are several image hosting sites one can use.  Basically register to create an account on one, upload pictures in one of the compatible file formats, click on the 'direct link', copy and paste into the img brackets on this site that appear upon clicking the 'insert image' icon.

I am actually hoping to send the photos to a moderator via my private email account so that they can load these two photos that I have now scanned. I am not sure that I can get the photos loaded through these sites. I see that other people are showing photos on this forum. Do they have to go through this much trouble just to put a photo on the site.

Once again if there is a flat earth moderator who will send a private message to me I will provide my email in order to send to you these photographs that I have on the memory drive of my computer.

I think jroa is the only active mod most of the time.  If you can catch him sober he might agree to it...

Send them to me, I'll do it.

Whenever I upload images I just use another site to host. 29silhouette gave a few others: it's not too hard. You usually don't need an account or anything for them: just upload the image, occasionally enter a CAPTCHA, and you've got a link.

Yep, you can probably still find the complaints in S&C. An REer mod didn't go down well: not surprised it didn't last.

I'm surprised they even made an attempt to have an RE a mod in the first place. Didn't think they'd risk something like that.

If you're sending the images via email, you should be able to simply attach the images directly from the saved folder on your computer's hard drive. This will upload saved copies to your email message so there's no guaranteeing the preservation of image quality (due to manioulation of the image data through transfer). However, if you use an photo sharing website such as pinterest or the likes, you can upload a copy to your account with the website in the original format, meaning that quality will be maintained to a much higher degree. You can then share the image URL directly in a post here on the forum or paste it in your email message. This way there is virtually no content corruption and no matter the computing capabilities on the viewers end (assuming they have Internet access and sufficient software and necessary plug ins), your photos can be viewed in their original format.
