Hello, I have previously posted this idea on an older thread. No one could answer me, there seemed to be at no interest what so ever amongst flater's. This makes me wonder why so I'm making it a thread. Please tell me what you think, but try to stick to the topic, and try to use scietific documentation behind a statement, a link will be appreciated. Thank you.
If they made a flat earth map, we would end the debate once and for all. This is why:
It is simply impossible to project a spherical surface on a flat surface, because of geomertical distortions. Distances close to the poles will get streched and those close to the equator will be compressed.(or vica versa depending on what you wish to have in center). If they made a map, we could compare it to a global projection like Google Earth or a simple globe. And then we could compare those distances to real earth measurements.
Perhaps they actually understand and this is why they dont have a map?
And if you don't understand, find a flat map and try to wrap it around a football.
(soccerball for those who think a football is something you grab and throw)
