Flat Earth From a Christian Perspective: Overview on why biblical verses say the Earth is flat, and theorizes as to why there was a deception to claim the Earth is a sphere.

The Earth being flat is a highly contentious subject these days. The belief that the Earth was flat was still prevalent into the 17th century in some places. Humans have believed the Earth was flat much longer than we have believed that the Earth was a sphere. Many Christians believe the Earth to be a sphere in an infinite universe. Actually it’s probably most Christians, as it is with most people in the world.
    The number of people starting to come to the conclusion that the earth is flat in the last few years, is growing exponentially. If you look up videos on YouTube, you will see these videos are popping up regularly. If the science for a spherical Earth was so undeniable, why would the number of people starting to debunk it be growing? I submit to you, that God is fed up with Christians being lied to and being deceived. Also, that because of this deception, there will come an even larger one in the end of days. God wants us to be prepared.
     This paper will discuss the flat Earth theory from a solely Christian Bible perspective. I’ll talk about the verses that show how the Earth was made, and the verses that show it is clearly flat. Then, I will theorize as to why those who know this are keeping us in the dark from a purley biblical standpoint.
     In Genesis there is a descripition of the creation of Earth. Follow along and look at the picture and discern for yourself if it seems accurate according to the bible.
    Genesis 5 And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day. 6 And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters. 7 And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so. 8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day. 9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so. 10 And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called he Seas: and God saw that it was good.
    Some may think that the firmament between waters was the land, but you can clearly see it’s not, since the land is dealt with on another day. The Firmament is FIRM, it is hard; it is the shell or dome that keeps the water above us from coming down on us.
     Looking back at the picture you can see the floodgates in the firmament, they were used for Noah’s flood.   

 Genesis 7:11 In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on the same day all the fountains of the great deep burst open, and the floodgates of the sky were opened. 12 The rain fell upon the earth for forty days and forty nights.

   Now as for the Earth spinning around in space, the bible says the Earth cannot be moved, so this cannot be so. The bible can’t get any clearer about the Earth not moving than this:

1 Chronicles 16:30  Fear before him, all the earth: the world also shall be stable, that it be not moved.  Psalm 93:1 The Lord reigneth, he is clothed with majesty; the Lord is clothed with strength, wherewith he hath girded himself: the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved. 
Psalm 96:10  Say among the heathen that the Lord reigneth: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people righteously.
 Psalm 104:5 Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed for ever. 6Thou coveredst it with the deep as with a garment: the waters stood above the mountains.

  On a global Earth, the sides of the Earth should curve as you look out. But if the Earth is flat, and you get up high enough to not have obstacles in the way of your view, you can see very, very far.

 Daniel 4:10-11  10 Thus were the visions of mine head in my bed; I saw, and behold a tree in the midst of the earth, and the height thereof was great. 11 The tree grew, and was strong, and the height thereof reached unto heaven, and the sight thereof to the end of all the earth:

A tree that was the height of heaven would be visible to the ends of the Earth, if it’s flat. This would not work if the Earth is a sphere.

     When you say the Earth is flat, people immediately think of water falling off the edges. You can see how everything can be contained in a circle surrounded by Antarctica. The Antarctic is Earth's only continent without a native human population.

Isaiah 40:22 It is He who sits above the circle of the earth, And its inhabitants are like grasshoppers, Who stretches out the heavens like a curtain And spreads them out like a tent to dwell in. Some may claim that the circle in that verse is due to the Earth being a sphere, but you can clearly see how the Earth could be a circle. The #2 picture also shows how there could be 4 corners. The #4 picture shows how the sun and moon can rotate around us and it can be dark and light on opposite sides of the Earth.


     There are videos on YouTube that show how the seasons can happen, how the sun can rotate in a larger circle which takes longer to go around, and vice versa. The science behind the flat Earth is being put together from everyone who wants to prove the reality, because the scientists of today will not hear any new theories.  I will not be discussing the science with the flat Earth. This paper is only on the bible’s view that it is indeed flat. Here is another verse that shows the devil showing Jesus the whole Earth while he’s on top of a mountain. He would not be able to see all the kingdoms if the earth was a globe.

 Matthew 4:8 Again, the devil took Him to a very high mountain and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory; 9 and he said to Him, "All these things I will give You, if You fall down and worship me."  The bible describes God creating everything. He does not create planets. Yes, you can argue that planets are covered under stars, but if we realize the Earth is flat according to the bible, then we must realize that the government is lying about space travel. When you look at the firmament above us, you realize we cannot go higher than that. I will discuss why they’ve lied later, but if you can realize that this is true, you can see that there are no planets. God didn’t create them.

  Genesis 1:14 And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: 15 And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. 16 And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. 17 And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth

     Under the premise that the earth is flat, and has a dome of firmament above the sky that we cannot go through, you start to wonder why did the government not tell us, and why do they continue to lie and pump out new information and pictures about the planets? To many, the pictures of the solar system and planets proves the Earth is a sphere. These people will never believe the government has lied to us until they can see a reason as to why they would. That’s understandable.

    Let’s start at the beginning of the bible. The world was created and we know the devil was around before man was created, because he was there to tempt Eve into eating the fruit shortly after she was created. When God is told that Adam and Eve have eaten the fruit He gives His decree:  Genesis 2:14 And the Lord God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life: 15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

This verse has been to predict the coming of Jesus to defeat the devil on the cross. You can see God placed enmity, the state or feeling of being actively opposed or hostile to someone or something, between humans and the devil. We are to hate evil, and evil is to hate us.

  Once you get to the story of the days of Noah, you can see that 1/3 of angels fell to the earth and took human women as their wives and beget giants, also known as Nephilim, human-angel hybrids. There is much more information on this in the book of Enoch, which was not added to the bible, even though Enoch is mentioned in the bible, and many verses of Enoch are in the bible in spirit (other authors say the same thing in their own words). I believe it should have been in the bible, but it makes sense that it was left out, once I explain the rest.

     But, even with ignoring Enoch, the bible does describe the fallen angels having angel-human offspring, and we know because of this, and because of the humans sinning, God decides to send a flood. The book of Enoch shows that the fallen angels taught humans technology that led to them sinning, so this makes sense, but that part is skipped in the bible. 

Genesis 6 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, 2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. 3 And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years. 4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown. 5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. 6 And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. 7 And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. 8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord. 9 These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.

The verse also describes the Nephilim as the “mighty men which were of old, men of renown”. I believe that the fallen angels and/or Nephilim were who the pagan religions worshiped as gods. There are many similarities between the Greek and Roman gods.

     There are also many sun gods in the various other religions. Isaiah 14:12 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! 13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. 15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

  As you can see in the verse, Lucifer wanted to be worshiped as a god. My theory is he tried to convince groups of people that he was the sun god. Even if it wasn’t him, I would believe a fallen angel or Nephilim was responsible for it. This is important, because one of the main changes in perception that happened when the human race was told we were on a spherical Earth, was that the sun does not revolve around us, but we revolve around the sun.

     Now Christians who believed that God had set the sun to revolve around them, changed their minds to think we were revolving around the sun. That by itself is not that big of a change, but when it came out that the Earth was a sphere, to explain things like shadows on the moon, this starts to stretch the Christians view on the bible. A Christian who believed the Earth was flat, and is now told the Earth is round, has to go back into the bible verses and re-imagine what the verse meant.

There is a website called GotQuestions.org and it discusses the question, "Does the Bible teach that the earth is flat?" It goes on to claim that the bible does not teach this, with verses such as “Revelation 7:1 are cited, which speaks of ‘four angels standing at the four corners of the earth.’” It goes on to suggest that the angels are at the North, West, South, and East of the globe, ignoring that a round Earth has no corners.

 “Another passage often referred to is Psalm 75:3, which speaks of God holding the pillars firm. However, the psalms are written in the poetry genre. Rather than referring to literal pillars, this is representative of God’s guaranteeing the earth’s stability. Even when the moral order of the world seems to have crumbled, God will not fully withdraw His sustaining power.”

  Why would the bible discuss things like pillars if there weren’t any? Again, we’ve already seen that the Earth is not movable, and firm. If the passage wanted to discuss how stable things are, there are other ways to do it, other than making up pillars.

The page then describes some verses that say the Earth is round. They mention Job:

Job 26:5 "The departed spirits tremble Under the waters and their inhabitants. 6 "Naked is Sheol before Him, And Abaddon has no covering. 7 "He stretches out the north over empty space And hangs the earth on nothing. 8 "He wraps up the waters in His clouds, And the cloud does not burst under them

     The website GotQuestions.org, takes this line out of context, “He stretches out the north over empty space And hangs the earth on nothing.” When you look at the context you can see it’s stretched out over empty space where Sheol is. (This is also seen in the first picture in this paper) The gates of hell are underneathe the Earths ground. We’ve been taught Heaven is above and Hell is below, but how does that work when we have a global Earth? I digress, back to the quote. GotQuestions believes this quote to mean that Earth is over empty space, but if we’re in an infinite galaxy full of stars and planets, how is it empty? This line only makes sense when you see that the empty space is hell, under the ground.

 Isaiah 40:21-22 is another quote, it describes the circle of the Earth. This is easy to see in the previously shown picture of the Antarctic circle surrounding the waters.

Proverbs 8:27    When he prepared the heavens, I was there:
When he set a compass upon the face of the depth:
28 When he established the clouds above:
When he strengthened the fountains of the deep:
29 When he gave to the sea his decree,
That the waters should not pass his commandment:
When he appointed the foundations of the earth:

Notice there is nothing about a circle in the KJV bible. The line they use is “Proverbs 8:27 (NKJV), which speaks of God drawing a circle on the face of the deep.”

     If you look at a flat Earth map, you can see that the north pole is in the middle of the world. It is said that every compass points to it as north (on a spherical Earth map). This magnetic attraction could be the compass God places down. However, even if it was meant to be a circle, this is still what the world can be seen as on a flat Earth map.

There is another verse designed to say that there is day in some places, and night in others, this can be shown on a flat Earth too.

     The previous information was needed to show that Christians were forced to start arguing that bible  believed in a spherical Earth to keep people believing in it. There is also a webpage devoted to turning people to Allah because their religion believes in a round Earth and the bible does not. I agree the bible does not believe in a spherical Earth, but I argue that the Earth is really flat.

   So, you can clearly see once the idea got out that the world was round, it made it more difficult for people to believe the bible. My theory is that demonic forces have conspired to get the world to believe in a spherical Earth in order to stop people from following the bible, or to believe the bible is meant to be interpreted loosely since it mistakenly calls the Earth flat.

The bible discusses the Nephilim getting wiped out in the flood of Noah, but there is a story of David and Goliath who was a giant that occurs later. There have been pictures of giant skeletons and footprints, these things have been debunked. But so have the pictures from space debunked the flat Earth, right? “Apparently the Midrash (not in the bible) says Og, the Nephilim King of Bashan snuck aboard Noah's Ark.”  Either way, according to the Goliath story there were still giants around, so I will continue with this assumption.

    The Illuminati “calls themselves, ‘The Nephilim, Sons of the Fallen Angels’”.   The offspring of these fallen angels has formed into a group called the Illuminati. They have knowledge passed down from their ancestors, they have plans, and they have powers.

     Now if you’ve never believed in the Illuminati, or demons, at least read this from the perspective of the bible. The bible clearly states that there are demons. The bible shows there is power in blessing and cursing. Jesus drove out demons a few times.

Mark 9:25 When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him. 26 And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said, He is dead. 27 But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he arose. 28 And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out? 29 And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.

There are more verses, but this one in particular is nice, because it shows other Christians are able to drive out demons. This was not just a special power for Jesus. Christians can drive out demons in Jesus Christ’s name because he defeated Satan on the cross.

  Remembering that the bible is full of these account of what science calls “supernatural” I bring you back to the Illuminati. There is a difference between the Illuminati and the New World Order. The Illuminati want the NWO, but the Illuminati specifically means those with fallen angel bloodlines. They are known to in-breed, perhaps trying to strengthen the angelic blood for their offspring. Hitler was thought to be of this blood line.

The Illuminati were sure to try to get in charge of countries, and policy makers. They are always trying to get people to make oaths, so they are most likely in charge of the Free Masons, and Skull and Bones groups also.


     So, the Illuminati are the offspring of the fallen angels, their end goal is to create a New World Order, that is to have the whole world unite under one leader. Revelation describes that in the end, there will be wars and famine, and then the world will worship together.

Revelation 13:8 And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.

 Satan wants to be worshiped. One of the easiest ways to do this is to get people to renounce their other religions, especially Christianity. I theorize that the Illuminati got into power and got enough money to be in charge of all things concerning space, such as NASA. They have had help from demons to being able to get things to go their ways.

 At least 3 presidents have been rumored to be in the Skull and Bones club,  and “The Club with More U.S. Presidents than Skull and Bones” discusses that 5 presidents were supposedly in The Thirteen Club.    They have sold their souls, in a way, to devil. Now they could repent and be saved, but I don’t see that happening. These people want the power that they’re getting. They know that for their plans to succeed things need to happen a certain way. They will go the way of Revelation. You can read Revelation right now and see things coming true.

 I also theorize that the powers that be, will produce the signs and wonders that will deceive people.

     If you take a look at the media, books, movies, and television, you can see more and more instances of aliens and UFOs. My theory is that the powers that be, will try to deceive people that there are aliens. Even the pope has said that he will baptize an alien if it came here. When you read the bible verses claiming that the Earth is flat, and there is a firmament above us, how can a pope believe in aliens? If the pope is Christian, he should not be able to believe in aliens.

This is just an aside, I believe the pope’s position to be the antichrist. The pope’s name (the position of the pope, not the pope’s birth name), is 666 when you count up the name in Roman Numerals. You can find more information here: http://biblelight.net/666.htm

    It’s easy to believe the position of the pope is the antichrist when you start to realize it was a pope who chose to place Christmas on a pagan holiday, and it is so commercialized now that all meaning has been lost. The same happened to Easter, and to go along with it, many Christians now lie to their children. Does that sound like something the bible would condone? To me, it sounds very anti-Christian.

 Back to aliens. In order to believe in aliens, one must believe that we are in a universe that may have aliens in it. If you go back to the first picture of a flat Earth under a firmament, you can see this is not possible. In order to deceive the public, you will need to believe the Earth is a sphere in an infinite universe. Christians who believe the bible, and who believe in a flat Earth cannot be deceived by the appearance of aliens. If something claims to be an alien, or you see an unidentified flying object, you can know that this is either a demon or the government.

     In conclusion, I believe the whole reason for this deception was the fallen angel’s offspring wants to lead the world into the New World Order. Quite a few presidents have said they have either seen UFOs or that the thing that would bring the world today, together would be a united front against an extraterrestrial or space attack. They have made it seem silly to believe in a flat Earth, such as creating those pictures of the water falling off the edges, and by making it seem silly have Christians not believe the bible to be a a complete word from God, instead they believe it has to be interpreted to mean something else, even when it is written clearly. Also, back to the book of Enoch, it describes what happened to our world before the flood. The bible states the end times will be like the days of Noah. I find it easy to believe the powers that be over time, kept it out of the bible because it would help us to realize what Heaven is like, the fact that is right above us, what the fallen angels did, and what Nephilim are like.

   What I want this paper to be is an instruction into why there is deception on such a mass scale. The fallen angel offspring want to rule the world; Lucifer wants to be the ruler. We know there will be mass deception. People are looking in the future for it, but i submit it’s already here. We may see more deception, in the form of signs and wonders. But I believe the mass deception to be the fact that the Earth is a sphere. If we, as Christians, stop believing in this myth, then we cannot be deceived.

The firmament went away after the flood or else we wouldn't have rain. Also the writers at the time thought the earth was flat, so of course it would have stuff like "The earth is immovable" because they thought it was the center of the universe. Is there a biblical quote that says all of the water from the firmament was used up?

This quote seems to say some of the water came from below, through evaporation and then condensation maybe? Either way the dome should still be there. Windows were in a dome, and the dome was not the water, it was firm.

More and more people believe in the Illuminati. We know there are secret parties, like the Bohemian Grove in Ca.

Remember, this is just looking from a Christian Bible perspective. The demonic forces that want to hurt humanity would do so through deception. The serpent was subtle and sly. He makes it look like he's not there at all.

I have been struggling with this whole FE thing.... as I know many have - based upon lots of comments for those of us new to this movement" - a week ago... my brain didn't hurt... but now... I'm exhaustively studying and researching - mainly Biblical texts - as I know that is the only truth - and praying for wisdom and discernment.  -
I do not believe that [this] is the great deception - perhaps it could be, but nonetheless this is a deception at the highest level. -  Could this be the "increase in knowledge" that Daniel talks about....
Motive?...for man,  control of course. But it goes much deeper than that. For Satan, this is the ultimate - he has systemically removed God from from the world view - 
 Didn't the Catholic church cause Galileo to recount his statements about the earth ?  Enter Darwin, and a whole slew of characters - including the Neil "the great", Dawkins.... Bill Nye the Athiest Guy, Hawkings.. the list goes on - Funny how our "brightest minds" are the most blinded.  They totally missed it... how stupid, how foolish... to fall prey to the system.
Now humankind has come to believe that they came from pond scum, and worked they up to monkeys, and now,, do we really matter? - our universe came out of some chaotic explosion, by chance, we ended up amidst trillions and trillions of starts and galaxies, etc etc.... and sit on the edge of the cosmic "poor side of town"..
Imagine saying to your child.. "you were a mistake"  the ramifications are obvious. Thats what humankind has come to believe.
God is very pleased of his creation and wants acknowledgment from all as Creator. In Romans 1 - the dilution and judgement handed out are because they denied him as Creator. // He is evidenced through His creation.

Look, i must admit, in my research thus far - I can find 0 proof of a heliocentric / sphere view in the Bible... I can find probably 50-100 texts that promote a fixed, geocentric, system and many point to a FE model. //  I am a bit troubled. We have very few photos of where we live... the ones we do have are from NASA - and well, everything Ive seen from them thus far is fakery. and bad attempts at even fakery, I might add.
More interestingly to me - is the tugging I feel to keep researching this.. Its as if something is telling me not to put this topic down.

As far as the illuminati, bloodlines, nephilim, etc - I probably would agree with a lot of what you have there, but we start venturing outside of the Bible  - and that point its all speculation and theories....
What I can say for sure - I believe Satan is breaking out the playbook - and trying to get as many men on the field as possible - He doesn't know when the Rapture will occur  - but when it does - he knows the stopwatch starts.
We've got Planet Kelpar, and Hawkins Million dollar "find an alien" challenge, that hit the news within one week.
The FE movement picking up steam right now - if it has traction and in fact is true - while potentially drawing many to God and realizing a Creator... could also, in turn be used , as the alien folks call it,  as  "disclosure" -   Especially with  pope frank, coming to speak to the UN in Sept... maybe the sphere ball of twine is starting to unravel, evolution is getting a little long in the tooth,  - and well.... we can't have all these non-believers believe.... right.

I think your confusing "accident" with "happened by chance."  Even if there is no God, telling your child he/she is an accident would not be appropriate because he obviously came about through the conscious actions of two adults.

And I belive that one should not be so focused on the meaning of the words in the bible that they miss its message.  god created a masterpiece, but it's entirely possible he used gravity and evolution as his brush.
