Given the wheels are basically chicken wire, that may also screw with the shadows.. (maybe?)

Still, I don't think there's anything out of the ordinary.

Really, and you know this how?

The dust on the moon's surface in certain locales could be likened to talcum powder.  It's also subject to electrostatic levitation due to its tiny particulate size of less than 10 microns (10 millionths of a metre).

Both the US and Russia have returned samples to earth.

A typical grain of beach sand measures around 900 microns, or 90 times that of a particle on the moon's surface.

Because it very well could be a model.

As you seem to be getting almost paranoid about "proving" that this image is bogus, maybe you could tell us what this has—specifically—to do with proving that the earth is flat.

And please don't just say all this moon stuff—and including the round earth—is NASA disinformation.  That's an all too easy cop-out.

Two further photos from the sequence may suggest the wheel was sat on a ridge.

Excellent images, and irrefutable evidence that the rover's wheel is in fact sitting on a narrow localised ridge.

To be fair geoff this thread wasn't supposed to be about the shape of the earth, more a contained debate purely on the "nasa hoax".

Scepti, you are asking us to be open to discussion.  We are asking the same from you.  You seem to be automatically in hoax mode.  You don't appear to even consider anything but a hoax.  You bring a photo in and say look at this!!! We look at it and give reasons for it being that way.  You appear not even to give your point of view a second look.  You don't even give a counter to the reasons given, just that we are set in debunk mode.

Point taken.   ;)

But then has this FE forum ever pretended to include the concept of fair play LOL.

I guess I see the repeated attempts by the FEs to discredit the NASA moon programs as being bogus as simply a ploy to further enhance their claims that the NASA images taken from the various space platforms showing a spherical earth are also—by conflation—also bogus.

I know for a fact that no man has landed on the moon. It's all fake. Can I prove it? Yes, I can and am doing. Will the N.A.S.A lovers accept it? No, they won't, EVER.

I certainly give you kudos for repeatedly avoiding answering any questions LOL.  Well done!

Can I ask you why you doggedly regard NASA with such suspicion, and rebut all their research results out of hand?  You've yet to provide any viable evidence proving unequivocally that NASA is carrying on fraudulent activities using US taxpayer funding.  You've voiced lots of personal doubts about their legitimacy, but so far haven't provided us with one single reference that proves anything to the contrary.

Why is this?  Do you not have any evidence that could stand up to assessment and debate here?

You do realise that you're leaving yourself wide open by saying this don't you?

What single "fact" do you possess that millions of scientists the world over are not party too that proves the moon landings were fake?

And what do you mean by you "can prove it", and you're "doing" so?  Please explain, as I've not seen anything you've posted here supporting this assertion.

Geoff! I'm well aware that I cannot prove it to you and your forum mates. I'm not naive enough to ever believe that any of you will critically look at any evidence, except to critically look for a debunk.

If I put a (for instance) a taped interview of Neil Armstrong admitting that it was all faked, from his owm mouth, you would say it was doctored footage. lol
It doesn't take long to learn how you people work, Geoff.

Gold!

I can only share your amusement at the knots our friend sceptimatic has tied himself up in!

In one breath he claims to have irrefutable evidence that proves without any doubt that the NASA moon landings were all bogus.

Then in the next breath (when asked for a reference to that alleged evidence), he says there's no point in posting it as we'd simply laugh at it regardless.  So apparently he's gonna keep it secret for some bizarre reason, and thereby make it totally valueless as a debating tool that could advance his case.

Unbelievable.  Talk about shooting oneself in the foot LOL.
