How about the South Pole?

I was wondering about the South Pole expeditions of the early 20th century. If Roald Amundsen had gone to the ice-wall of Antarctica and crossed over it, how come he didn't die? And if he never reached the South Pole, because it doesn't exist, how come he was gone for so long? Just something I was wondering about.

The expositions traveled far past the ice wall but never far enough to die from æther exposure.

the south pole is not forcibly a continent!
we don't know how the rest of the earth beyond this circle of ice looks,
but some of us believe the earth is infinite, I'm one of those!
according to the big bang phenomenon the earth and the sky were created and separated further to a cosmic explosion! but they could not be separated after being a unique entity when one of them will be transformed into a small ball, and the other segment, will be an infinite space!!! so they logically have the same shape!

Have those who disbelieved not considered that the heavens and the earth were a joined entity, and We separated them and made from water every living thing? Then will they not believe? (21:30 / the prophets-Quan).

As I've said before Mohamed, there's really no point in quoting scripture from your holy book.  Religion has no place in a nominally scientific debate.

When the holy books—of all religions—were written, mankind had virtually no understanding of astrophysics or geophysics.  Every holy book has major errors of observation and conclusions.  And although modern-day Christians will deny it, their bible describes the earth as being flat numerous times.

1)- don't try to get me with this, I respect the christian scripture as christian people do or more, the three different scriptures were all provided by the same god, which is my god! and all the prophets are my prophets too (I'm muslim).
the fact that some verses and words were distorted by sinners doesn't mean that they were not the revelation of my lord!
2)- the earth ball theory has existed for centuries before the revelation of  the Quran and the Gospel before that
 in the 6th century BC petagoras was the first to claim the earth being a glob,
 in 330 BC Aristotle provided more proofs about that through some archaic experiments!
 when the christian scripture was revealed this tought was known but the prophets did not repeat what was already known and exposed by satan and his fellows! afterward Ptolemy and others like Strabo resurrected the theory before the revelation of the Quran, but it position was also clear regarding this theory which puts the sun at the center of the universe and glorify it as the one only god! God is the one who is enthroned upon the earth and the sky as a master and controls us all day and all night:
 "he sets enthroned above the circle of the earth" Isaiah 40:22
  " القران العظيم أية الكرسي سورة البقرة " وسع كرسيه السماوات و الأرض
His Throne doth extend over the heavens and the earth, and He feeleth no fatigue in guarding and preserving them for He is the Most High, the Supreme (in glory). Al Quran.

so please note that Galileo and NASA did repeat what was already known in th 6 Century BC
