Correction: the rocks look dead. In any case, they look remarkably more rick-ish than rodentious.

Of course the look rock-ish. Many species look like rocks or leaves or sticks or other non-animal things. It's called evolution and its something that they teach in grade school. These animals are clearly evolved to look like their environment.

It looks exactly like all of the rocks around it. A rock isn't just a single shape, size or color. It can vary, obvioulsy. And It looks much like a rock. MOre than any rodent I have ever seen. The fact that you insist it is an organism shows you will use photos as evidence to support your cause, even though you berate anybody else who does it.

you are just believing whatever you feel like, there is nothing that shows an area that clearly dusted with potent poisons

Based on the shadow, you can know the "head" doesn't have the shape a head should have, it looks like that because of the angle.

If you actually look at the picture for long enough it will be apparent that it is a rock, not a rodent. This is a pointless argument. It doesn't look like an animal and if you think it does you are clearly and blatantly deluding yourself.

I think it does look similar to a rodent regardless.

@sceptimatic - why don't you try that? - ask some rodent experts what they think is in the picture and get back to us.

Some insects look more like a leaf than any insect I've ever seen, but by your arguments, they must all be just leafs. =\

If this forum was an animal forum and I put that picture up and said, "ok a prize for anyone that can spot the rodent in that picture and name the rodent"
I'd guarantee that everyone would find it and then go on to finding out what type of rodent it was, then come back with , " ok sceptimatic, I think this rodent is a blah blah blah)

I very much doubt "anyone would come back with, I can't see a rodent, just rocks" or " that's not a rodent, it's a rock."

This is the difference when it comes to arguing a point about whether it is a rodent against a point of "all", looking for a rodent and finding it.

That is just your guessing, do that on an animal forum and show us the link, if you think its not.
