No need to get personal.  But, I forget, the stock in trade of those who can't respond with logic when a proposition is put is to insult the proposer.  But at least I'm glad you found it convincing (or were you using that other stock in trade - sarcasm?  Hmmm).  No, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt.  One saved.

From a university too.  What does your professor of geology say about your flat earth?  Your professor of physics ...  history...  biblical studies?

I bet you are the only one who really knows the truth  - how can all those other people be so wrong?  Oh yes, it's a conspiracy.

Excuse me? Why don't you read my other posts before you resort to ad hominem attacks? I'm a Sphericist through and through. I don't even think there is a debate here. There is no Flat Earth theorem any more. We got rid of it several hundred years ago. What I object to is people who come in here for the sole purpose of insulting others. You'll notice elsewhere I've got involved in debate. This guy signed up the forum, and the first thing he does is spout unsubstantiated, argument-free, incoherent, disconnected statements. That's not a case. Hence the sarcasm.

That and I've been looking for an opportunity to quote Bill Hicks all day.

If you study my posts you will discover that I have not insulted anyone and it was your good self who resorted to ad hominem attacks in your first response to me.  I have always found it best to understand the meaning of a term prior to using it in print; perhaps you could try the same in future.

What is it you do at Durham anyway?  Head of the school of janitorial studies?

Actually, I'm a second-year philosophy student at Collingwood College. Though you won't believe that, not a chance, so please, by all means, ask me to provide evidence.

Moreover, in quite such a meaningless discussion as this particular thread, in which initially nothing of any consequence was being stated except "Flame. Flame. Flame. Flame" (in that order), I didn't consider as hominem out of the question. When no argument is being presented there is no need for polished counterargument, and I was in the mood for a little idiot-bashing.

I thought it was interesting to note that you assumed because I stood out against the appalling quality of your argumentation I was actually arguing against your point of view.

No evidence required Felix.  Actually it was sort of apparent from your posts.  Two things stand out though - "second year" and "student".  I suggest you spend more time on your studies and less on Internet forums (or would your sensitivities prefer 'fora'), especially meaningless ones like this, obviously set up to take the mickey.

humans werent created dicktree, it took millions of years of evoloution, along with the help of visitors from other planets.  yues i believe in erik von danikan's theorys, they seem to make perfect sense to me.  

for instance, it says in the bible that noah, was half man half angel, people today thorize that as a mix-breeding betweeen man and extra-terrestrial, since all major religions blive in divine intervention, causein a half-human, half-god combination.  

soddom and gommora (assumign i spelled it right) could be explained as the extra-terrestrials, whom were watching over the humans (studying them)  decided to intervine, the bibile clearly states that few were warned, and not allowed to come back for many years (indicating a risk of radiation).  

there are amillion other ways that i could explain every thing in the bible with this very good theory, but ill wait to here your explanations.

We don't need proof, logic, explanations.  Those are for the spiritually impoverished.  We have faith - the one true source of spiritual nourishment.

The Bible is the Word of God.  My Pastor knows more about the Bible than anyone else I know.  He says the Bible is the Word of God.  He must be right because he is a Man of God.
