Lets keep the story straight.
« on: May 12, 2011, 11:30:32 AM »
I just want a summary.

1. moon shrimp?
2. does gravity exist
3. space photos

I just want straight answers
The site contradicts itself
 :-\
So, Douchebag, if it fails, it doesn't disprove FE, but if its a success, it proves FE?

Moon shrimp were invented by RE advocates to mock the suggestion by some FE'ers that there may be lunar life.

"Gravity" does not exist. The causes (and mechanism) of "gravitation" is the subject of debate among FE believers (and among RE scientists for that matter).

Space photos? Which photos?

Ski, please do not mock official FE Theory. If you wish to attempt to disprove it then start a thread in the FE Discussion area.

C'mon. This is how I always cop it. You can't have one set of rules for mods and chums and one for the rest.

If the site is educational, be educational.
If its humorous, let people be funny.
If its deadly serious, you have to be that too.
If its all things to all men, then give old Crusty a break.

What do rules have to do with it?  I was making a point as an official representative of the Society and the IAFEG.  I wouldn't expect a troll like you to understand that.  Someone has to preserve our good name with fools running around here constantly destroying it.

Do you have an issue with me bringing up Ica Stones?  I didn't say anything of their validity, I was just curious of their worth to Jame's work.

The site is for the advancement of Flat Earth Thought and zeteticism, providing a haven for like-minded people. You'll have to excuse us, Thork, if the constant badgering and "heaping-on" by certain individuals gets old. It is particularly irritating when it is aggrandized to the extant that newcomers find difficulty sifting through the wheat and chaff.

I frankly don't much care what Crustinator says to or about me. I frequently even see the humour in the gentler mockinging from RE members. But when a new member asks in his first post for an explanation and notes "this site contradicts itself", it tells me that the underlying message is being lost in a deluge of postings about lunar and solar shrimp, et al.

If you can't be bothered, then don't sit down and criticise. Just because you think James is a troll, doesn't mean he is.  There are several theories out there that I"m sure you wouldn't call troll theories that would seem to an outsider equally ridiculous.  For example, Christian Water Canopy Flood theory.

Also, please note I did not tell Crustinator to be quiet.  I told people to ignore him, specifically with the implied idea that they should in case they wanted to learn something about actual fet.  I'm so sorry that trolls can get called out for being trolls, qq.

Ski is also 100% correct as usual.

Ok, how can we fix that?
Is it that you felt Crusty should have sided with you being pro-FE or that you felt he undermined your post?
And really, I'm sure Crusty was just being playful. I think anyone asking about shrimp in their OP is looking to be entertained. Not converted. Enter Crusty.
I'm sensing some mod hostility this evening. I don't really want to be the focus of that. I will leave you to this thread now unless your response requires one back from me. My comments where focussed at Mr Davis anyhow. :)

As for John Davis, are you looking for a rise out of me this evening? Here it comes. I never even mentioned James. James is someone else I enjoy reading. I like reading ichi's stuff, Pongo's, TB's, PP's, Wilmores, EG's, the list goes on and on. I don't refer to any of those guys as trolls. Its not a word I usually use at FErs.
But you are an awful troll, because not only are you implausible, you are boring and on the make. No one else on this site tries to turn a profit out of FET. If your book were filled with tales of shrimp, dinosaurs and lunar warnings I am sure it would be fun to read at least. But it will instead be jammed with turgid and poorly researched nonsense about infinite plain theory and other dimensions etc. That is your business, but you don't have to spray your scent all over this site to convince a wider audience that you are an authority on FET insisting everyone accepts your view of what FET should be.
Call me whatever you like in whatever hate filled vitriol you wish you deliver it. You are the one mod I never pay a blind bit of notice to anyway.

I'm not trying to get a rise out of anyone.  I'm  sorry it upsets you so much I take my work and this society seriously.

As for turning a profit... really?  Really?  How stupid are you?

If I wanted profit, I would stick to my day job where I'm paid very well for minimal work.   Not hand binding, covering, printing, publishing, and writing books about a topic almost no one cares about.  I'll be surprised if I cover my expenses, let alone the time I have and will have put into it.

I also am confused that you think its funny I get sour stomach when the moon is full.  I'm glad my discomfort amuses you so much.   If you'd like next full moon I'll cease taking my baking soda regiment and film myself puking up bile in extreme discomfort  if that would finally shut you up about it.

If your concern with my post about the Ica stones had nothing to do with James, then what was its point?  Its obvious I don't believe in dinosaurs that were boat builders, so what exactly were you trying to do?  The post was directed at James and about his theory, so yes in a way you did mention his work.  It had nothing to do with me other than I was asking him about a particular aspect of his theory.

I could care less if the site thinks I'm an authority on FET.  I have zero interest in trying to get the respect of most of the people here.  If I wanted to get the respect of folks here, I would likely do something like yourself or crustinator except I would be funny about it and still believe in it.  See: my posts from before you even came to this site.  Yeah great, a bunch of round earthers that constantly attack me for being myself.  Thats who I want to impress.  Also, I don't insist everyone should accept my view of FET.  If you paid attention to anything I've written its the exact opposite case, and my work is towards a pluralistic science.  Not only that, I am constantly defending, describing, and answering questions about competing theories.  You criticised me earlier for trying to contribute to Jame's work.  For fucks sake, which is it. God forbid though that I believe my theory is correct.  You know, cause that would make sense.

Your accusations are completely false and have no supporting evidence.  You sir, are a joke.  Everytime a flat earther tries to be taken seriously some globularist scum bag has to go around and try to drag their name in the dirt.  Its happened with James, its happened with Myself, Levee, Wilmore, Ski, Tom, Johnson, Shenton, and Rowbotham as well as every single other notable flat earther and unnotable one too.

This sites main purposes is not to give you lulz.  So if you'll kindly excuse this, you can go fuck yourself.  I don't have time to deal with you constantly trying to goad me into a reaction so you can have your laugh for the day.  If you don't take me seriously, leave me alone.   If you won't leave me alone, at least attack me with valid criticisms.

Really?  You came to the flat earth society website and someone is serious about flat earth theory there?  Oh my fucking god, what an amazing find.  Alert the press, cause this is some seriously interesting shit!  That is the last place in the universe you'd ever find someone who was interested in flat earth theory.  I just can't believe my eyes.  The scales have fallen from them, and I now believe!

You make me sick.

Thank you very much.  I know I'm not perfect, and everyone will never agree with everything I do ; I try extremely hard to make this a place that trolls can come and have fun as well as it being a place that we can have legitimate discussions and q/a sessions about flat earth work.    Sure, I don't always post all my work here.  Sure, sometimes I'm intentionally vague.  But I do my best.

I'm no fucking Einstein or Marx, I'm just an average guy trying to do the best he can with what he has towards what he believes in.  If thats my crime, well heck.  Thats a crime I'm happy committing.

If you wrote about things with that kind of passion regularly, I might have a bit more time for you.

Do you know why I come to this site John? Its not because I am always entertained, or that I obsess over earth's shape or that I get a kick out of trying to convince people earth is flat. The reason I stayed, is because I like the people who post here. Not all of them. But many. If someone learns something that's a bonus that will give me a warm fuzzy feeling.

That is it. I have no agenda, no mission, no malice. I post here because I enjoy reading and debating with many of the members here. Now that means I'm really not interested in anything else. It also means I don't have to suffer fools gladly. If you talk to me like I am a piece of shit John, I will happily reply in kind. If you want to patronise me with stories of moon illness and devout FET beliefs, don't be surprised when I become dismissive.

As for your comments "Its obvious I don't believe in dinosaurs that were boat builders" what are you saying? That you wish to distance yourself from what is obviously a troll theory? Make your mind up.

Now that we both fully understand how much we dislike each other, there should be no more misunderstandings.

And good luck with the book. I just wanted to get a rise out of you.

Oh, and PM stands for PRIVATE message.
And it is not in direct contradiction to what I say on the forum. I am sure you appreciate the difference.

I realize that the theories differ, but they differ on a huge level. The first response to this post said that moon shrimp are a joke. however, there is an entire thread dedicated to moon shrimp, on which thork, james and crusty have all posted.

Lets just say opinion is divided on the subject. Much like in RET there are two theories on the ultimate fate of the universe. That the universe has finite or infinite duration. With limited resources FET has not been able to conclude either way and warring factions dispute the existence of shrimp on the moon. For what its worth I am pro-shrimp. But you are here to make up your own mind. :)

If you want to patronise me with stories of moon illness and devout FET beliefs, don't be surprised when I become dismissive.
You've had quite a few missions, agendas and clearly you have malice towards me.  You started this, so don't try to play it off like I was just out to get you.  I've done my best to try to help you in your concerns with the so-called trolls in these forums and went to every effort to try to address your concerns.  IN return I was met with you spitting in my face.   All I said was Crustinator was a troll and to ignore him.  And for this you go out of your way to start a shit throwing contest.  I called you a troll too, I suppose.  Of course, that is your self awarded title as per your profile, so I doubt thats what offended you.

You came here claiming my sickness was some sort of lie or troll, despite me on numerous occasions saying it could just be a coincidence that the moon lines up with it.    Every few weeks/months you come around and try to raise shit while still looking like the good guy.   Then after a week or two you apologize and say you were being a dick.  Perhaps that is the reason you keep coming here, not because you hold the members here so dearly (you clearly don't).

As for your comments "Its obvious I don't believe in dinosaurs that were boat builders" what are you saying? That you wish to distance yourself from what is obviously a troll theory? Make your mind up.
I don't believe in dinosaur boat builders.  So yes, I do not want people to think I do.  God, thats pretty fucking amazing.  You are just full of these nuggets of wisdom today, aren't you?

You can try to turn that into some sorta bullshit of me trying to call James a troll, but everyone here knows I respect James and his work and you do not.

Now that we both fully understand how much we dislike each other, there should be no more misunderstandings.
I have no dislike for you.  I'm rather apathetic about you in general.  I have dislike for my name being drug around in the dirt.  As a matter of fact, if anything I would have said before this I liked you and agreed with you on several points.

And good luck with the book. I just wanted to get a rise out of you.

Oh, and PM stands for PRIVATE message.
And it is not in direct contradiction to what I say on the forum. I am sure you appreciate the difference.
I don't want your good luck.

If you piss on my face, I don't give a damn what private message means.  You've said the same thing in the public forum so who the fuck cares.  It is a direct contradiction.  You just went on a huge tirade about how you don't call flat earthers trolls usually, and here you are calling them trolls and trying to get their positions removed.  You say you don't have an agenda, but you try to push the flat earth believers out of their position as well as several other agendas.  You say you come here because you liek the people, but you are constantly being a dick to them.

You, sir (if you should even be called that), are a troll and a liar and I won't have you trying to destroy my name.

I realize that the theories differ, but they differ on a huge level. The first response to this post said that moon shrimp are a joke. however, there is an entire thread dedicated to moon shrimp, on which thork, james and crusty have all posted.
Crusty and Thork are both trolls.  James believes in bioluminescent shrimp-like bacteria that light the moon.  Some have taking this to mean "moon shrimp" and have started trolling with it.

I will also be issuing myself a 2 day ban for excessive profanity.

James likes to troll and Crusty and Thork aren't FE'ers. That's all I'll say on the topic.

One has to wonder why you choose to honor certain obvious trolls with FEB status, then. "Jame's" and Tom do the most damage to your "good name", yet they are welcomed with open arms.

You don't want to make an enemy of me. I'm very powerful.

Wow, this thread went south. Then again, John bit the bullet on this, so fair enough.

Anyway, I think Crustinator is a troll. Being a troll is not against the rules. Calling someone a troll is not against the rules. Hell, I've been called a troll plenty of times, but I've never banned anyone for it. Personally I think it's an argument that doesn't go anywhere, but I know John is someone who likes to call things as he sees them. He'll have to answer for his arguments, but I don't think he's done anything wrong as a mod by making that argument. I tend to let the absurdity of Crusty's arguments speak for themselves.

Also, all this troll talk is just getting old. If I'm kind of playful on here, it's because I know how unlikely it must seem that someone could believe that the Earth is flat. However, anyone who doesn't think I'm serious should see my work on the Zetetic Method. It's getting lengthy, and I am 100% behind it. I hope to put a brief summary of my arguments up here sometime in the next two weeks; I had intended it to be sooner, but college stuff got in the way.

What really amazes me is how so many people can come here, kind of half get what this site is about, and yet not take the next step. It was obvious to me that there was more to the arguments presented here than devil's advocacy.

Where is your work on the Zetetic Method. I'd like to see it.
