Erm, did anybody think to look up Area 51 on Wikipedia?  I haven't looked at Ubuntu's thing, but the Google Earth image of Area 51 and this  Wikipedia image from the Federation of American Scientists of Area 51 look pretty similar to me.  It's from 1968; the caption notes that more runways have since been added.

feel it's more than likely that this is not a photo of what you think it is.

This seems like the most likely theory to me.

Speaking of, I logged into Google Earth myself, and found the same things on the map, in more or less crystal clarity.  (as good as us civvies can get anyway).  The things you circled as fighter jets just looked like passenger planes to me, but it does look like there are a few fighters a little bit north from those, though.

If REAL photos of area 51 were posted on the internet i doubt the goverment would let them stay, and if it were found on something google related.it would be put down

How could you government prevent that? If the American government had that sort of global power, why wouldn't they exercise it against child porn and other web enemies?

Why would child porn be legal and lolicon hentai be illegal?

Google earth confirms my personal observation. From Tikapu peak one can see across grommlake to the base there . It is supposed to be Area 51; where cutting-edge flight tech is tested (or reverse engineered et al). So; everyone knows it's there and the govt. admits to it now. I do recall that several years ago(when it was still "Base? What base?) a sibsection of the annual military buget requests was a little item earmarking $6,000,000.oo to relocate some of the ops from that "secret" site. My pet theory is this; the li'l aliens is only there to produce substandard clones of Elvis, most of what is there are styrofoam and urethane 'props' and the Military Elite squandered the money in Vegas on golf, gambling, hookers and blow; not necessarily in that order.
believe that; the Earth is flat until such time as I stand within the Space Station and personally see that it is a Globe.
or that the Earth is a sphere until such time as I stand upon the Icewall and personally see that it is a Flat Disk.
