Please elaborate on this claim. Is Dubstep shitty? Is Dub? Is Reggae?
Dubstep isn't music. It's a bunch of crap.

I support sillyrob.

Dubstep is taking 10% of the orginal song, spreading it out, and adding a bunch of
WUBWUBWOBWOBWUBWUBVROOOOOOMZZZZZWAHHHHHHH inbetween.

For example, when the "Friday" craze was all up and about, I remember watching this. The first 30 seconds sound fine, even good. But it is all decieving. Immediately after the song is non-stop VROOOOM VROOOM WOB WOB WOB WOB WOB VROOOM VROMMM WAHHHHH with little sound bits thrown in.

The first 30 seconds is pretty much just her singing. Englsh likes Rebecca Black.

The first 30 seconds is an ok sounding remix.

Dubstep does seem to be trending towards 'who can make the loudest noise' but:

2. What's wrong with noise? Why can't it be music? People like loud music; that's why they turn their music up loud.

Noise != Music

Quote
mu·sic/ˈmyo͞ozik/Noun
1. The art or science of combining vocal or instrumental sounds (or both) to produce beauty of form, harmony, and expression of emotion.
2. The vocal or instrumental sound produced in this way.

There is such a thing as noise music. It's shit, but it still exists.

On the subject of dubstep, some of it is okay, but I've found way more drum and bass that I like better.
Here's an explanation for ya. Lurk moar. Every single point you brought up has been posted, reposted, debated and debunked. There is a search function on this forum, and it is very easy to use.

<-----music. OK
<-----music. OK
<---music. OK

Now the third one here is the only one that I like, and nobody could claim that Amon Tobin isn't music. But compared with the first two, dubstep is way more musical.

The first video is not musical? ???

There is quite clearly musical progression through the song based on the same few note phrase. The jazz is minimalistic.

I didn't watch the second video all the way through. Most metal is too unbearable for me to listen to, but I know that if you slow it down, it turns out the guitarists aren't actually just playing random notes, so I guess it is music too.

Dubstep isn't musical because it doesn't have music in it.

Do you like reggae or dub?

If you mean like this reggae, sure.

It should be obvious by now I don't like dubstep.

Ok, I'm just trying to make you understand that your description of Dubstep is vastly inaccurate.

I mean, I can't see the massive leap from your song to this, aside from the dubstep song is better produced.

So essentially you are saying that it is not I that it is doing it wrong, but rather all the dj's and people on youtube claiming to make dubstep remixes?

Not to mention the vast amount of arguments in the comment section of that video claiming this artist either is not doing dubstep, or he destroyed/ruined dubstep.
