RE DA's: Markjo, Silver, Hessy
RE Trolls: Horatio, General Dissarray
RE Believers: ThermalDetonator, The voice of Reason
RE Misguided: Berny 74, Kira-SY

So what differentiates me from a DA, a Troll, a Believer, or Misguided?

To be fair, sometimes what FE'ers say makes so little sense that it's hard to come up with a rebuttal.

There are definitely four types:
Devil's Advocates: Roboparsisteve, English Gent.
Trolls,
Believers: John Davis, Tom Bishop,
Misguided: Leevee,

I suspect a good troll is a DA, and a good misguided is a believer ::)

However the knife cuts both ways. I would like to know how many Round Earthers have now changed their minds since being on this site. Now knowing the earth to be flat they continue to troll telling everyone earth is round!

RE DA's: Markjo, Silver, Hessy
RE Trolls: Horatio, General Dissarray
RE Believers: ThermalDetonator, The voice of Reason
RE Misguided: Berny 74, Kira-SY

It is time all of you were exposed. I think the examination should be extended. There are too many people pretending the earth is round on this site! >:(

even if i think its a little eccentric, i kinda sit on the fence. with my OWN eyes and understanding i can see that its flat, but my education and what the media tell me screams round. then i read enag and the experiments there are also quite convincing, thing is he was out to prove if was flat, or so it seems (could be very wrong). so i guess im 10% converted thanks to you people. plus it makes an intresting topic, everybody i speak to want to learn more about it, i always play a flat earther and let them fire questions at me. they do tend to laugh but then you need to read up about it some more to understand what you meen

^ Yes, I suspected as much. Suspecting the earth may well be flat after only 90 posts. Now what of the perma-roundies? Markjo for example, must realise earth is flat by now, yet his Devil's Advocate position is maintained. I guess its his way of asking questions to further his own knowledge, without feeling silly.

I actually am very sure about RE, but I don't rule out the possibility to change my mind.

Hey, I don't think I see myself there.  >:l

And I take issue with your placement of Markjo.  A Devil's Advocate of RE wouldn't often make fun of and openly disparage FE.  He's definitely a believer, or "misguided"...whatever that section means since I would think you would think all RE'ers are misguided.

Actually, I'm just trying to help FE'ers to develop and improve FET by getting them to think about the questions that they don't want to answer.

Note that this topic isn't meant for FE opinions. The premise of the entire topic is that they are biased. Take no offense :P None is meant.

So, fellow RE'ers. How many (if any), and which of the FE'ers do you think actually believe in their own theory, and who do you think is just trolling for laughs?

None of them believe it.  Trolling is the entire purpose of the site.

I said the same thing in RM a while ago. I think there are a few true believers, but most people arguing for FE are devil's advocates/trolls.

EnglshGentleman doesn't believe in FET, neither does Lord Wilmore.

If you have any evidence of this, then it would be mighty appreciated if you were man enough to divulge it, but if you are silent after making such a claim, then that brings to mind Solomon who wrote "Depart from the presence of a fool when thou perceivest not in him the lips of knowledge."

...I don't see what the problem is...

My point is not to attack Fortuna.  The last time I can remember anything that Wilmore posted that would even lead me to think that he believed the earth was round was around 2006 or so, and I am convinced that since that time he actually converted to flat earth belief.   If Fortuna or anyone else knows better, then I'd like to hear about it.

Wilmore is cool reguardless of what he believes, but I have not seen any evidence that he's not on my side.  As far as that goes, Wilmore along with John Davis, Ski, and Tom Bishop are perhaps the most logical flat earth believers.

No not supposing anything like that. Assuming nothing,

DA's are reasonable most of the time. i.e. if you give them sound evidence they'll admit defeat on a topic. These people don't post ludicrous arguments like how 1+1=1 therefore science is broken.

Believers have come across something in their life that for them is evidence for the worlds flatness, however wrong they may be

Misguided people, have no idea what they are talking about. Like the one guy who posted that the laws of entropy are broken by gravity, because gravity should cause an orbiting body to reach infinite speed.

Trolls post arguments like the misguided, but know them to be wrong. example moonlight.

But then there are also users, the Batman or Dr. House of this classification.
like Parsifal, a hero and a villian.

Parsifal once tried to convince me that optical illusions were a part of the conspiracy, and that jpg's are actually moving images. I asked him what about actual photos, he said they made the ink move on its own

Pertaining to the purpose of this message board, I would have to say that I consider the Earth to be round, not that its shape makes any difference whatsoever in my everyday life. I've been reading through some threads here, and many of you seem to be sophisticated, intelligent individuals; that is why I joined. I was linked to this site originally by the member known as "Androkles", though I don't think he has very many posts.

Its a shame, he would've been a great ally in the fight for RE, but he probably became a DA because of all the stupid noobz

I have somehow avoided the temptation to necro a CT thread just to get under his skin?  I can't figure that out.

On a serious note, the number of flat earth believers both on the site and in the population in general is greater than given credit for.  Of the former I am certain and of the latter common sense says so.
