I've been disapointed.

Very disappointed. I was directed here by a person who said people here could prove the world to be flat. However, what I have seen is claims without factual backing, and when factual backing is requested, the answer is "That is unknown" or something similar.

Let's assume the world is flat, there is ice surrounding is, and everybody who believes the earth to be round is in on some conspiracy.

Why has nobody hopped into a plane, taken off from Australia and flown towards this ice wall and recorded their results? If the earth is flat, a point will come when they will see an edge, and can return and confirm. They don't need to fall over the edge and perish into space. They just need to see the edge! If they continue to fly and never ever ever find anything, then they can conclude the earth is indeed round.

I've seen two other arguments for this. 1, the government will make sure you do not find out that the world is flat. Prove it to me. You cannot. All you can do is make claims, because until one of you hops into a plane and tries it, you will have no idea.

The second is that we do not have the ability to transport ourselves onto this sheet of ice. False. We currently have scientists living on the "South Pole" who continually fly in and out, and who sometimes make journeys months on end deep into the poles on dog sled. We can get there. If you believe we cannot, prove it.

Thanks.

I've also seen in response to this, in the sticky FAQ thread at the top of the page, that using my thoughts on this would need to provide video to prove anything. Is this not a one way street? In order for the FE ideology to be proven true, would you not need to fly out there and take some pictures of the edge?

Also the statement:

"Q: "If you're not sure about the motive, why do you say there is a conspiracy?"

A: Well it's quite simple really; if the Earth is in fact flat, then the space agencies must be lying when they say it isn't."

In order for you to even begin to make that statement, you need to have extreme evidence proving that Nasa is indeed hiding something. I do not think you have done this.

The worlds flatness implies a conspiracy.
A conspiracy implies the worlds flatness.

Therefore the logic here is wrong

This is wrong.

The Earth being flat implies there is a conspiracy, that is true.

There being a conspiracy implies that there are people lying about the Earth being round.

Therefore, the Earth being flat implies there are people lying about the Earth being round.

Please quote someone that ever used the logic that you stated, other than yourself.

The Conspiracy is evidence of there being a conspiracy. Nobody have stated there being a conspiracy = the earth is flat.

The conspiracy exists,
therefore evidence about the earth being round is false.
therefore the world is flat.

Just look at any NASA thread

Your incorrect reasoning is assuming that the Earth must be flat over anything else. No FE'er has never claimed this.

If you are just going to make a statement restate itself, than of course it is going to sound the same. It is your logic that is incorrect, not ours.

Would you like me to trawl around the forums and find a bazillion posts to prove that crap wrong? I contest your statement and your troll logic.

Answer the OP's questions, not something someone else posted. You people are extremely talented at looking like you're answering something without doing it.

And even now all I see is people saying that the conspiracy itself is evidence that the earth is flat.

In that case, in order to prove the earth is flat you need to prove to me a conspiracy exists. As of now there is just assumptions and speculations without any facts.

The only person who is saying that is a RE'er who is lying about what FE'ers claim.
