Use of the scientific method to prove the flat earth hypothesis.

I come on this forum about once a year and ask some version of the following question. Each time I hope that a FE person will come with an intelligent, well though answer. So far, nobody has even attempted to address my question. Please don't continue to disappoint me FE people!


The steps of the simplified scientific method are as such:
1) ask a question.
2) develop a method to test that question with conditions for success and failure.
3) perform the test and interpret the results
4) develop a general, predictive theory based on your observations.

ALL credible, widely accepted scientific theories have satisfied steps 1-3 dozens or hundreds of times, and have one or several statements compatible with step 4.

The FE hypothesis has satisfied step 1... ONLY step 1. Please FE people: try out steps 2 and 3 for me. Don't even worry about step 4: I mean, the majority of scientific inquiries end at step 3. But, FE people... you have to get past step 1!!!

Rather than prove how uninformed you are by making a pattently false claim. Please address my question.

Alternatively to addressing my question you can just admit that your convictions are based in blind faith. Admit that given irrefutable evidence* to the contrary of your belief you would still believe in a flat earth due to some blind/misinformed/contrarian internal bias that prohibits your brain from accepting the truth.



*(plenty examples of this evidence exist and many have been posted in this forum)

Why is the Scientific Method so bad?  Why is it unsuitable for FET, when it works successfully for everyone else?
It is an internationally accepted method, to show one has thought about the question at hand, and experimented to test the hypothesis.

I would appreciate an answer to these, and for you to cease evading the question in the OP.

I suspect what was meant was, the scientific method was used to produce computers, medicine, etc.  Not the scientific method is directly responsible for creating those things.  Let us not be so picky.

So.. the practice of experimentation to prove ideas is stupid? I suppose we must disregard Rowbotham's work then.

And may I ask what the differences are between the scientific method and how you planned and executed your moonlight experiments?

Notice how everything we know and accept were because of the scientific method? Everything TFES has come up with is debunked day in and out out and are done with the Zetetic Method. It's kind of funny of TFES still holds on to this even though there is no validity to it.

It seems pretty simple. No matter what, nobody can possibly know how all those ancient concepts got invented unless they could actually go back in time and check, all of you are making assumptions, which can never be taken for fact.

We do however know what the scientific method has achieved, because it has been documented.

The best you can wring out of this one is we don't know what the Zetetic method, Mysticism or Superstition are responsible for. Logic implies that it is accidents and experiments that achieved those things, but we cannot know for sure, so it's a null matter.

We do however know what the scientific method has achieved for humanity through time, and it has time and again been proven to work.

I'll take it as a concession of defeat from the FEr's if they fail to come up with a logical, step by step explanation of why the scientific method does not work well enough for them to validate the FET.

Just to be clear, the Zetetic method is completely different from Mysticism and Superstition - I just felt you were being unfair to Mysticism and Superstition, which have produced many technologies which we still use today.
