why does gps work?
and when I am in a really open area, like the ocean, why can I sea the curvature of the earth if it is flat.

2. You can't.

And please refrain from asking two unrelated questions in the same thread, it makes it difficult to stay on topic when the topic itself is bifurcated.

but if the earth was flat. gps would not work. therefore, by your own argument, the earth is round!

You can sea the Earth? Remarkable!

Also, I'm pretty sure you are the only one that claims they can see Earth's curvature on the ocean. RE'ers generally concede that you won't be able to see the curvature of a sphere the size of the Earth from ground, or in this case, sea level.

Incorrect. I suggest you lurk and read the many topics that have been made here discussing this very topic. This is what is known as "lurking moar". Do it.

How perceptive of you. Why could GPS signals not be broadcast by something else?

You're back?

Yes it can be actually very depressing to stick your head out and just see plains of ocean with nothing in site.  Well it doesn't really get depressing until after a week or so.

GPS does work, round earthists like to pretend that the only reason it works is Einsteins false 4D "space-time" theory but this is just a claim - so it's not a priori true or false. Furthermore you're very rude and I demand that you stop calling people such nasty insults or I will refuse to talk to you. This might be hard for you to beleive but flat earthers (at least on this forum) are most often a lot more individual

I concede GPS could act like a fancy version of LORAN, but how does that account for the ranges that GPS can work in the vastness of the oceans?  If you are lucky you can get shortwave signals, but you can't triangulate on those.

To be fair, sometimes what FE'ers say makes so little sense that it's hard to come up with a rebuttal.
