Hmm, will you make me a RE'ers by answering this.

It is well known that there are polar days and polar night on the North pole, it is the time when the day or the night stays for half of the year. Well, I am a FE'er and the FE explantion is great if to say about North pole. But. It is well know(all everywhere populated) that in the South Pole there are polar nights and days too. But how the sun can be visible for half of the year, if you're observing it somewhere from the Antarctica?

If the Earth is globe - then there is explanation - same effect as on the North Pole, but if the Earth is flat, there shouldn't be a polar night or polar day in the given spot of Antarctica.

So how FE explains the polar days and polar nights in Antarctica?

I'm not sure if it's the southernmost, but it was operated year round for 37 years.

The sky mirror reflects sunlight onto the far side of the disc during the southern summers, while during southern winter the sunlight strikes it at the wrong angle to be reflected anywhere but far beyond the ice wall.

Go to Antarctica in summer and look at the sky. There is evidence that the sky mirror exists.

I mean. Rays from sun goes where to reflect from? And after that reflection they go futher to create the constant half-year day in the Antarctica.

Light from the Sun goes to the mirror. It then reflects off the mirror and comes to the ground.

=)) well. it still can be a spotlight and reflect off sky mirror, or better to say refract.. well, anyway. I am almost RE'er now.
No major answer, just 2 words sky mirror are not  enough.

Can it? As a spotlight, it shines down the way, if this was the case, surely we would see the great "sky mirror"?
