As far as I am concerned, admitting that Tom Bishop's mind is inferior even to Rowbotham's is a devastatingly damaging admission.  Rowbotham himself was either a charlatan or a complete nutcase.

This question is ridiculous, since you will simply say that a credible scientist by definition does not believe in a flat earth. 

Much like if you asked for a credible scientist in regards to any non-main stream belief.  For example, UFOs, Atlantis, et al.

You do realize that the point of that thread was to thank Daniel for recovering an entire month of content, right? As for "sucking up" to Tom Bishop, I guess I just believe in the old fashion phrase "Credit where credit is due".

You realize I was disagreeing with what you said, right? You are saying that the only credible scientist is the very top one. (Let's not even get into how you judge a scientists worth)

It would certainly help. Maybe not "the" top scientist. "A" top scientist would be good. Maybe a few published papers. Recognised articles in prominent journals. Advisor to the government. Major research grant winner. All those would help in some way.
