My Reasons:
1) One of your primary explanations is that it looks flat from a persons perspective. Well of course it does, in most places, it isn't open enough to see the horizon, let alone the curvature of the earth. The earth is big, it's not gonna be like standing on the surface of a football (or soccer ball for my American friends here). It holds about as much weight as me saying, I look at a perspex box full of air, I see nothing in it, therefore there can't be anything in air, which we clearly know is not the case.
2) You all seem to say, whenever confronted with evidence that the earth is round, that you don't take it for evidence such as pictures or videos or in the case of actual experiments you say they have probably been faked. Personally I find the most annoying response when provided with a specific piece of information is for a FE'er to flat out say, "You're wrong" or "I don't believe you". If you take this point of view then you are completely blocking out the possibility that you are wrong and therefore there is no point in even debating with any of you.
3) All of you experimental "proof" seems to originate from just one man, Samuel Rowbotham, a scientist from the 1800s who is known for little more than his experiments which "proved" the earth to be flat. There are however far more scientists, more respected scientists, who have evidence to prove that the earth is round. There have also been others who have tested Rowbotham's experiments and while in early years they sometime yielded similar results to Rowbotham, as time and the quality/accuracy of apparatus increased, the result of a round earth became far more common in the evidence. However if FE'ers just say "Oh the scientists who find the earth to round through these experiments must be part of the conspiracy", then what's the point in even having a discussion with you as you all seem far too stubborn and narrow minded to even let this idea enter the realms of possibility.
4) My fourth reason for not being convinced is the "conspiracy" which must be happening for a flat earth to be the case. So many people have to be involved in it that keeping it a secret would be a huge ask, if not impossible. Also the idea of men guarding the ice wall on snow mobiles with apache helicopters to fight off intruders seems too far fetched for me.
5) My final reason is the theory of dark energy as it has far too many holes in it as far as I can see. Surely if the atmosphere covers the earth, then it effectively acts as a windshield, thus trapping any air. Surely this means that when the "dark energy" which creates the upward force, causing the earth will move at a certain speed, but so will the air in the atmosphere, much like the air in a car, therefore a downward force which mimics gravity would not be felt. The only other explanation would that dark energy causes the earth to accelerate, which I would agree would create a force similar to gravity, however, due to the life of the earth, I find this very hard to believe that it has been accelerating all this time, as if this were the case, surely it would have reached the speed of light which is impossible due to its mass.
It's all of these reasons which have led me to reach a pretty certain conclusion that the world is indeed round. It was interesting talking about the different theories though, it's just a shame some people can't seem to keep a proper discussion/debate going.
